Iroiro is the best brand that I've found for fading true to color. Many other dyes fade into a weird undertone, such as blue fading to green or red fading to orange.
With iroiro, green becomes lighter green, blue becomes lighter blue, red becomes pink (lighter red) etc. The only time it didn't is when I didn't lighten enough before adding color, so the bad bleach orange of my hair showed through, but that's not iroiro's fault.

Please pardon my late reply! It does stain and bleed for a bit, after first shampoo is generally safe, for the first week it's safest when dry. I noticed this was a much bigger problem with their black dye than with their red dye though so it may depend on which color a bit.

Another super late reply for you. One thing I've noticed is after washing I always blast my hair with the coldest water I can stand. This helps close the cubicles and keeps bleeding and staining minimal.
