    When I learned more about speaker placement (and MAPP 3D) it made me wish all my speakers were QSC. The CP8 is by far the best thing for smaller stuff or for a DJ monitor. And it's 90°, which is tighter than most smaller speakers (even the K8.2 is 105°). The K12.2 is awesome because it has tight 75° coverage. You can pull it back for smaller stuff, and for bigger stuff it's less of a mess when you add speakers. And the K-series stuff is easy to time align, and has the extra angled hole on the bottom, and has M10 holes for a mounting bracket so they're easy to install on the ceiling.
    They're announcing new line arrays at NAMM, so maybe the KLA stuff will go on sale in a couple weeks. But it's not going to be some earth-shattering announcement. I think everybody's still gonna be buying K12.2s and KS118s for a few more years.

    Good job Mitch.
    It wouldn’t have hurt to have a QSC KS212c sub on hand...
    Maybe the best sub QSC makes🔊🔊🔊!

    you should compare one of these to a studio monitor... even though studio monitors are "flat" most of the sound some of us use the most is from syudio monitors. :)

    I’ve had nothing but issues with all my k.2 series speakers. QSCk118 has been sent to a warranty center. Mid gig a week ago one of my k12.2 just stopped working. Nothing can be done but having internals replaced. No clipping or anything. The service center says it’s a “assembly issue”
    All input lights on with nothing going into the speaker. Even with just a IEC power line being the only thing connected.
    As soon as my speakers return from the warranty center I’m selling for a steal and buying a full JBL set.

      Meh, they're plastic boxes, with no indication whether they are glass reinforced poly-- which likely means they're insufficient in the enclosure inertness department.
      They do look pretty cool though.

    well, that watt data is in peak values so no, k12.2 does not deliver 2000 watts rms, but instead half having luck.

    All these speakers have fans in them to cool them, that sucks to start with, because fans break and than your speaker easily gets ruined. RCF above QSC 100 out of 100 times.

    Probably the most overprice speaker as the prices have been going up monumental in the last three years. They’re good but not that good it’s nothing but greed

    QSC is mediocre at best. Bose and JBL are way overrated. ElectroVoice Mackie and Behringer are cheap junk. The prices have gotten out of control on high end active PA speakers. So Yamaha built a new factory in India to produce competitively priced speakers with a 7 year warranty, outstanding performance and excellent durability. The Yamaha name speaks for itself. If you want pro grade speakers, for not alot of money, it's hard to beat a set of real wood cabinet Yamaha DHR15's. You get top of the line pro grade features from a world renowned brand at a more reasonable price! Great move Yamaha!

    • @andrewbecker3700
      @andrewbecker3700 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@boobee3846 QSC is mediocre at best. Nothing bad about them. For the price they're just as good or better than many of the popular brands that cost more. If your on a tight budget, QSC is probably the best choice. If you want pro level sound, that's a step above the generic stuff(like QSC) most people recognize brands like Bose, JBL and Yamaha as the best. All I'm saying is there's another option now, with Yamaha's new models made in India. With the same industry leading 7 yr. warranty as all their pro grade stuff, while coming in at a lower price point than the units made in Japan. That's a really smart move by Yamaha. I ordered a set of the DHR15's from Sweetwater last year when they were first released. For $749 each, I challenge you to find a better deal on ANY comparable active PA speakers. Good luck.
