Thoroughly enjoyed watching this transformation from old and worn out to Restored and ready to use again! Job well done, and it was good to see the added cooking too!
Thank you! For the most part, I have no problem selecting artifacts for restoration from their original storage location, as I inherited a large inheritance of such items from my great-grandmother. But in this case, I bought this cleaver at an auction because it seemed interesting to me
Ух ты, сколько медяхи! 🫣 Ещё понастольжировал про детство, увидев наклейки трансформеров из-под жевачек 😁 А вообще, как всегда, всё перфектно! Класс! 👍
I'm just going beyond my current capabilities. For further restoration, I need to buy a good single-angle blade sharpener. A good grinder will also not hurt. Then maybe my work will become more ordinary😉
Thank you! Glad you liked it. At the stage of riveting the brass rods, I spent a lot of nerve cells. Of course, I took a lot of useful things out of this work.
Thank you! The pen is not as clean as I would like. Brass is harder than copper. It is better to make overlays from brass, and rivets from copper. Then it would be easier to rivet them. But I proceeded from the material I had available. But overall the result is satisfactory.
I am very glad that you noted this part of the restoration, because it was the first time I hardened steel, so I was very worried about what would come of it.

my favorite combo - restoration & cooking video in one
Nice to see a restoration where the cleaver wasn’t purposely buried in a yard. Great work!

That was solid! Now I need to find me a cleaver, for cooking purposes 😎
Well, definitely meat is better than zucchini)) But I still did not dare to cut meat on the fly😁
@@Dr.Pepperovsky I think that should be a goal for your first katana restoration (or similar 😅)
