Amazing battle again! The cavalry had a very bad time. Those javelins are incredible. Dickus should rethink his strategy next time since the barbarians are taking advantage right now. Congrats for this amazing campaign!
I've become a huge fan of your videos (especially your leader names haha). Inspired me to start up some 15mm Dux Brit warbands. Might I ask if you have any tips/resources on terrain making? I've done some scratch building but I'm still learning and I like the look of your set-ups a lot.
Great stuff! Re terrain, my tables are pretty basic. The trees are ready made from K&M (UK based), and all my buildings resin cast from Forged in Battle or Hovels (IIRC). I may have picked up a few elsewhere on Ebay or at a show, but not sure from whom. Obviously I have a cloth which I lay over cut and shaped foam for my hills. I like this better than placing scratch built mounds on the top of the cloth, which undoubtedly will not match the cloth's colour. My rivers are flexible latex from TimeCast (UK based). I decided to paint them brown, as opposed to a blue-ish colour that I've seen elsewhere, as I think this is more realistic. Marshes and patches of rough terrain are simply a 2mm thick MDF 'pond base' from Warbases. Covered in sand, painted Burnt Umber and clump foliage added, and varnish over a water patch for the marsh. TBH, my skills as a terrain maker are not that brilliant. If I can bang out a few bits and pieces, I think most folks could. And I keep telling myself that I am looking at it with my glasses on at a distance of 3 feet. Good luck!
Another good game, cheers! ;)
Cheers 😊
