Hello! I hope you read this! on the WEVERSE MAGAZINE release today, they mentioned that HOME;RUN reference is "42nd Street" a MUSICAL about overcoming the great US depression, set on 1933. This means this dated a looot back from the typical kpop retro of 80s 90s. a bit different:) Also seventeen is indeeed a musical group, this song is basically a musical. they have been having a musical like choreo since Pretty U in 2016 too, that is why they are called the theatre kids of kpop!! You should really check out their B-sides from Semicolon album! Its really good, i think you will like Hey Buddy! OH and they have been working for this album for A LOONG time, maybe even before the acquisition, who knows:)

We love Bighit labels, but they've been producing this album since may-june which is significantly before Dynamite. And their theme is proper vintage like 1970's swing song inspired music and the outfits and set is all like 20's-30s vibes. I don't mean to be rude, please don't compare groups :)

yess this comeback was just so great, everything on point. I love the musical style too, like you guys did!! The album is called Semicolon! It is kind of a continuation to their left and right/henggarae comeback. You should check out both heng:garae and semicolon! Seventeen produces and writes their own music with the help of Bumzu, an artist in pledis and also some other producers. The member woozi is their main producer and lyricist but all the members contribute. This album the songs are divided by age units, 95z, 96z, 97z and the maknae line each have a song! For lyrics I recommend seventeenlyrics on youtube, other lyric videos are usually not accurate. Or just search the lyrics from the internet.
Hope you guys will react to more of their stuff!! You won't regret it. You should totally react to some of their dance practices and performances after you've seen more of their MVs. Their dancing is insane, but their vocals and rap too, they are just a very good package of talent composed of 13 members.

B1A4 released an album and mv yesterday (like a movie) and I really reccomend you watch it. They are an og (debut 2011) group but more well known in Korea than internationally. They made a comeback after 3 years. Two members are no longer with the company but it's still unclear if they at some point will continue with the band. For now, this comeback features 3 members. The song is soo good and their videos are always really interesting and captivating. I know you'll like them and also, as a bonus, through this you'll be finding new music/artists which you always like. Hwaiting :)

When I started as a kpoper I used to find seventeen so funny, but I gave up being a Carat because there was so many members. So...I could not resist these 13 crackheads and now I became a rapper. (I said rapper because of their fanchant)
Big Hit doesn't have any say in their artistic direction guys! Woozi, the one that swung the bat at the end of the video, is the one who writes and produces all the music. Hoshi, the one with the purple suit you liked (with the help of the companies' choreographers and sometimes other members too) does all the choreos. And it's always been that way! They're known as "self- producing" idols because they do everything themselves! Love you guys, great video!

I dont think seventeen uses other korean groups as references or inspirations though because most of their interviews and if you look into it, they have mostly american influences on their music. Also most of the scenes (and picture views) in their comeback have meaning to them as as seventeen.
