Hello, thank you very much for the video you recorded. It is very good. But I am a student from China, and my English level is limited, could you please add subtitles if convenient
Prof., how does mesh accuracy affect limit load/collapse load of a shell-mesh structure being analyzed with a perfect plasticity or elastic plastic material model?
Greetings Sir, i'am getting this error "Time increment required is less than the minimum specified". i have applied cyclic loading ... what should be done to remove this error
Dear, Material remains as it is...but error in stress calculation increase with coarse mesh. Think you want to calculate 1.34+1.66 But your calculator (with coarse mesh) considering it 1.3+1.6 so you will get answer = 2.9 ! But the original result (with fine mesh) is 3.
I have multiple bodies in my model that are connected to each other...is it preferable to do partition of them in assemble mode all together or i can do their portioning separately as parts
Dear sir, I have been following you for quite a long time now. I just has one query related of my research area. Can you please provide me insights about defining stresses for a model containing shell element. In other words Lets say shell element has a (S4R) has a five intgration point along the thickness. I found that it is possible to provide a initial state (at intgration points) such as temperature, stress etc. even before running analysis. I wish to know how. As I did some literatures it is not possinble usisng GUI, but by python scripting it is possible. Can you please help me with this, either directing me with some examples or so... Thanks in advance.
Dear, In boundary conditions you can define intial conditions as predefined field on selected element/node. However, if you want to apply bc on specific integration point...such option not available with GUI.
@@arsitech-ltd Thank you for confirming it. However, I came across a resource that a initial stresses can be applied to a node directly using python scripting. Any such literature if you have please share with me. Anything will help... Thanking you,

similarly differance in Dcouple 3D and Couple Distrubutionin RBE3

Can meshing change the strength/stiffness of the material

whats is differance between kinematic _coupling and coupling kinematic
Kinetic coupling and coupling kinematic is same.
However, kinetic coupling and distributed coupling having difference.

As you want you can make partition. Both methods are good.
Can you please make a video on contact algorithm in abaqus?
Dear,
Few are already uploaded. Check they playlist on the channel SimTech05
