I’d still say that any oil based or oil inclusive face/beauty products are better off refrigerated. Some oils can and do become rancid over time when exposed to extreme heat. So if you don’t keep your home at a very cool temperature all of the time, chances are that this could be happening. Also, a heated bathroom that gets humid from the bath or shower water isn’t the best place to keep your skincare items either, even if in a closed cabinet.

I never store makeup or skin care in the bathroom. I live in Michigan and my bedroom rarely gets above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. I've never had an oil or serum go bad. I think if you keep things from freezing and getting too hot you'll be ok. 😊💕

I keep my Vitamin C serums in fridge - keeping them in a cold, dark place keeps it from destabilizing as fast - and when you use an expensive serum, you want it to last until the very next drop.

I don't have a fancy little dedicated fridge but I do have a shelf (or two) in the door of my kitchen fridge full of perfumes, and "special" makeup & skin care (like sprays & oils) and have done for more than 20 years. I live in a hot climate and it just prevents the heat from affecting the freshness & longevity of the ingredients, plus yep it feels great on our hot days and nights. Along similar lines, I have a couple of teaspoons I keep in the freezer ice tray for depuffing the eyes, and before sharpening any eye, lip & brow pencils they go in there for 10-20 minutes (you get a nice firm sharp point quick & easy every time).

Just an idea- you might try putting dollar store bins in each level so that you can quickly pull out the bin, select what you want, and pop it back in. It seems that might allow you to use the space completely without making it difficult to reach something in the back. 💜💜💜

Lol. Yeah I don't know how down I'd be for having really cold stuff on my face! My parents seriously considered getting a towel warmer for my dad. He had tons of health issues which resulted in him being cold but the main thing was he had nerve damage from shingles and whenever he was cold, something cold touched him or anything in general touching that area,it set his nerves off big time! So when he'd get in the shower my mom or i would throw his towel in the dryer and run it til he got out then my mom would give it to him. He really enjoyed it. Sadly he passed away a few months ago. He was in his mid 50s. So we never got one. But I would suggest the dryer thing cause it does feel nice and toasty! :)

I can see a definite advantage for getting one of these for my bedroom. Right now I keep Vitamin C, Matrixl Synthe 6 and another serum in my kitchen refrigerator. The vitamin C isn't supposed to last more than six months or so, tops, but I've had it refrigerated for a year and a half and it still hasn't turned orange. So keeping the vitamin C refrigerated has definitely extended its life and saved money. Having a fridge in my bedroom might save money because I forget to use these serums, which is why I've had them for so long, and so I would be more likely to use them if they were close by. The fridge is so cute, too! 😄

I use my small fridge on my bathroom counter for my skincare. I buy my oils in large sizes and put them in small dark bottles and the remainder in my large fridge. I have plastic containers from Dollar Tree I label and keep those in my big fridge. I pull out what I need, but my every night skincare I keep in my small fridge.

I have been using a regular sized refrigerator and designating a shelf for make up and skincare for about 20 years. I like to buy my favorite lipsticks and keep one or 2 in reserve in case they are discontinued. Also it will keep skincare fresher if I buy 2 or 3 at a time on sale or as a deal. Perfumes too especially if you like a rare or discontinued one and there is an opportunity to stock up. Thanks

I don't have a fancy little dedicated fridge but I do have a shelf (or two) in the door of my kitchen fridge full of perfumes, makeup & skin care and have done for more than 20 years.

My husband and I live 20 minutes from "town" (we wanted to live on a large plot of land), so when I go shopping... I usually go to several stores, getting groceries last. I could see using this in the car to put products in that would be affected by the sun. I live in the southern part of the US where the temperatures are very high in the summer. Inside the car gets even hotter the longer it sits in a parking lot😎
Also, when my boys were in school and we had after school activities, I always brought a small cooler containing drinks and healthy snacks in the car. (trying to avoid the fast food drive throughs!) This would work well for that! Now I could use it for grandchildren LOL!

This is definitely pretty extra, but I definitely want one! I have a lovely butterfly rash that tends to radiate a decent amount of heat. Having my products nice and chilled would be so amazing when it's flared!

I bought my son a micro fridge for Christmas for 20 bucks at Walmart. My walmart doesnt usually carry that in store. Its red and looks retro 1950s. He keeps soda cans in his. It doesnt have space on the door and the shelf is plastic but its essentially the same thing. It also heats, has a car cord for travel. Has a fan that I can hear faintly. cute.

So adorable; love the pink (my fav color)! I figure if my husband can have his special fridge in his 'man cave', then I can purchase a feminine fridge for a few pampering products. Thanks for the info on chilling some special facial/spa products as long as it doesn't break down ingredients. I guess it is important to read product info.

For the past ten years I've dedicated a small fridge (a proper one not the micro type) just to keep my makeup such as nail polish, lipsticks, liquid foundations, toners, facial mists and skin care.. I have found that this method prolongs the life of the products. I shop my (fridge) once a week to rotate and enjoy what I have.

living in Australia this is a must my fridge is full of my make-up especially lipsticks and balms which tend to melt to liquid in our 40 degree+ temps (100+ in US temps) during summer, if it isn't a powder it is in the fridge at my place that is why I have a little bar fridge for my water and makeup, that is cute but way to small for my stuff

I honestly really do need one (or two, lol) of these. I use a lot of products from small indie shops that use minimal preservatives. Plus I do a bunch of DIY products and have so many oils, etc. The whole bottom of my fridge is taken up with these things and it’s forever growing. So glad that you did this video.
    Thanks, gorgeous🍃🌸.

Hi Emily, u can use the hot feature for something like those hot caps that are meant to out over a deep conditioner or hair mask. Idk if it would heat up enough, or if u even use those type of things. But I suppose anyone in the comments can do that if they have the fridge or plan on getting one. I think they're adorable.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have limited space in my bathroom BUT I want to try out the chilled products. I’m going to get a plastic shoe box and put my skin care in it. I live in Arizona. Chilled products could be a great thing in summer. The fridge is adorable if I had the space I would totally get one!

I have the same exact fridge only it's a frigidaire brand and all pink. I was a bit disappointed as it's not meant to keep it on all the time. Its basically a plug-in cooler and I already had one of those for my car. Mine came with warnings saying you have to clean out the air vent area in the back before your turn it on each time because it's a major fire hazard.

There have been a few times during hot weather when my eye pencils have been too soft to use, so I would need to keep them in my fridge. Having a little makeup fridge right next to the rest of my makeup would be a bonus but not entirely necessary.

When hubby and I designed our house I told my architect we HAVE to have a mini fridge in our bathroom. He looked at me all strange and shocked but I got one. LOVE storing certain serums and eye masks. But the favorite product is Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray. Never without a bottle in the fridge, purse and kitchen fridge too .

Hello, I ordered a mini refrigerator for my skin care because I live with family and I just don’t want to be keeping going to stairs and grabbing my stuff out of the fridge. So I thought it be easier just to have it upstairs with me inside of my bedroom where I have access to it.
I’m excited for it I’m waiting for it to come here I’ll see how I go it was but I’m excited for it I’m excited able to keep some my skin care products out of the heat because my bedroom gets pretty hot in the summertime. So I can all I can say is I’m waiting for mine and I’ll let you know how it goes.😊

Actually this is really beneficial not just sensory wise. A lot of more natural products can have increased longevity. (Think brands like LUSH) Often we're storing skincare in bathrooms which isn't ideal due to hot, moist air often circulating. Also many foundations can have increased longevity when stored in the fridge. Thanks for the review Emily!

I do a lot of DIY skincare and it's hard to keep it from going off at room temp in the summer. I need this, but then the money I save in doing DIY skincare, will be spent on the fridge. I could see using the heat for cream based products. In MN all my cream products are really hard to warm up to be easy to use in the winter.
