The first soundtrack is so calm but unsettling at the same time. Fits Shouma well tbh given his character was both calm and unsettling at the same time.
Exactly, if he'd blocked Gjoll he might’ve had enough shield to withstand the 2 rearguard attacks, but because Wakamizu fell into the mental trap of expecting a critical trigger, he misplayed his guard. That being said, his deck was a mess and wasn't going to win. It's just that simple.
lol shinonome has like 2 different stand trigger in his deck (probablly 8 stands 4 crits 4 heal) and yet wakamizu things he aims for a crit ? even after shinonome attacks with both rg first ? and then he is surprised when shinonome get a stands?? bushi pls.....
Actually, most build run a lot of criticals. So he just applied common sense here. Genesis is one of the rare clans where the Stands are better. I actually plan to run 7 Stands and 5 Criticals, but that requires to know precisly what Tahro does ;) Plus, during his Vanargandr attack, he revealed 2 kind of Criticals. So it's more probably 6-6. Since Wakamizu was at 4 damage, it was actually possible to believe that Shinonome tried to finish him without letting the chance of a defensive trigger thanks to a powered-up Svava with extra critical. So saving shield and trying the defensive trigger was not a that bad call, it's just that it was the wrong strategy. Pretty ironic when you think Wakamizu's support comes from a booster called "The Genius Strategy" xD
+slyoko Something else that could be at play here, he could have slipped in several different kinds of critical triggers to keep his exact numbers hidden. I used to use that trick in Glendios, had a few different critical triggers, running 7 altogether.
John Dan John Dan Ignoring how many crits he has versus stands, he checked and rearranged two cards with his last Revelation, then drew off the top card with Fenrir, meaning he still knows what his first drive check would be. And he attacked with all his rears first. That is not the behavior of someone expecting a critical.
That's wrong. His hand had 4 cards : One Heal, and his Triple Drive, so 1 Crit and 2 5k, and he had no intercept at all. He used his critical on the 1st attack of Svava, used the G-Guard and a 5k shield on Hellsky Fenrir so he had a 5k left, so even without a Heal Trigger he needed 15k (Svava hitting for 21 with the power of the Stand) where he had 5k left. That Stand Trigger litteraly determined the outcome :v
@@slyoko 7 years old comment but like i said before, he just has to no guard the vg attack while guard the first 2 16k attack with 10k shields leaving the last attack with g guard and because he knows he runs stand, it is a risk he has to take. if you think about it, if he thinks it is going to be crit, the vg will have to attack 2nd and if he somehow guarded the vg the remaining trigger effects will go to the 3rd attack which he can't guard.
@@SoraDestiny471 Re-reading everything, I'm halfway sure my comment wasn't aimed for you lmao Anyways, the take from this game was Wakamizu read a Crit and got pranked because it was Stand, could have been the exact opposite tbh. The whole point was that Shouma trumped Wakamizu big time.
that theme that was playing sounded really good
Shinonome's such a badass
Shinonome ja nai, Katsura da.
Thank the spirits for Genesis support and for Bushi finally deciding to give us a keyword LONG after it was due.

Wakamizu lost the moment Shinonome got that Stand Trigger after checking it with Revelation.

God I miss Revelation.
No wonder why they remove Stand Trigger in V format and not in Standard format because Stand Trigger is broken.
So edo phoenix is playing vanguard now
0:57 his vg g1...

i really Like this fight , shouma is a great character
wakimizu cant even predict the future. how in the world did he know what to use to counter shouma?
Megacolony can rest Genesis units that rely on triggers and soul charging for power and cannot stand before goddess of investigation was introduced
Shinonome ❤️ Akira ishida
Which episode was this
Vanguard g stride gate ep42
Why is Wakamizu running a MAchining in his deck o.o
ask bushiroad
Legion ;)
There is no generic Legions in Megacolony, he have to use the Machining ones.
0:58 what?
Why megacolony deck always lose...
wakamizu fk up. i would no guard even if there a chance of cric. wasting so many cards on defense, how to counter if he use up all
To be fair the heal trigger wasn't accounted for so if Shouma didn't check it Wakamizu would have enough to guard Svava.
That's wrong.
