Idk what the President meant with "second class peace agreement". Maybe it didn't come across quite as he meant it. He's essentially talking about post-war security quarantees to Ukraine, not about a sub-par peace conditions to Ukraine.

    • @jattikuukunen

Yeah, class wasn't the correct word. More like a second level of guarantees aside from a bilateral agreement with Russia.

@@melrakan are you native english speaker? I think Niinistö's english is excelent considering his generation. He has quite thick finnish accent, but that is quite normal and I think it's easy to understand. Perhaps he makes some mistakes, but I think he gets his point across.

@@SorbusAucubaria I'm a native Finnish speaker. I'd say it like this - his English is enough to get basic points across, but he can't really communicate in detail. He relies a lot on pre-written talking points (which he repeats in more or less every foreign visit); without his team, it would be a lot more noticeable.

@@SorbusAucubaria the whole subject of joining NATO and getting ready to “answer accordingly to threats”. Which threats? To Finland? I just watched his other interview where he actually admits there are no signs of aggression towards Finland, like they are nowhere in sight. NATO has been provoking Russia all the way until we got what we got. There are even no troops on the border with Finland. But as soon as NATO puts rockets there it will be a whole other game for everyone. This is escalation.

    • @Naskinlahtaaja

@@dsch2038 joining NATO is literally a de-escalation, Russia will never attack a NATO country and a NATO country will never attack Russia, so you are wrong.
As for threats, Russian politicians and even Putler himself have been constantly talking about "retaining old borders", which would include Finland. Even putler himself has said that "losing Finland was a mistake".
Also you are lying about there not being troops on the border with Finland, Russia has continuously invaded Finnish airspace since 1940.

Yes, Finland has the happiest people on Earth. In Finland the amputated are protected from weed, but prescribed opium and morphine instead. Likewise, folks undergoing chemotheraphy have to rely on criminals to get weed. God forbid, If they get caught of a possession of one single joint, it will be enough to red flag the person for decades to come in visa registries and show up 5-7 years in new employee back ground checks.

My theory, which takes into account the high levels of both happiness and depression diagnoses: Finns have good medication.
Medicinal weed is also officially a thing at least for some indications of chronic pain. I don't specifically know though what's the situation with eg. amputees atm.

The name "happiness" index. Is a bit funny as it has nothing to do with personal happiness.
It's a comparison of the society in different countries taking into account things like the quality and availability of affordable healthcare, education, about crime and corruption and more.
The Nordic countries have always been among the 8 best in those comparisons.
There is something I think relates to countries with a winter too.
It's like poverty becomes more easily acceptable in even rich countries in a warmer climate than in countries with a harsher climate.
