Sophie & Hort are so perfect. Agatha seems really timid and I expected Tedros with thicker hair lol. They're still pretty good tho. Overall, I'm pretty surprised how GOOD (almost perfect) the casting is

I love all the casting.....except for Tedros. I feel like the appearance doesn’t fit in with the book Tedros.......and I don’t think he acts togther well with the Agatha actor.......but besides that, love the casting! Especially Sophie I think fits in really well with the book Sophie and acts like her well.

I think the actor for Sophie looks exactly how I imagined her and her attitude, body language and facial movements suit her persona so much! And Hort's acting was on point! His answers were comical and exactly like I would have imagined Hort saying during a similar interview -

Edit: now i have seen the movie and the actors are great but thats just not what i imagined the characters to look like.

@@Noshushpls please, that movie ruined my teenage. I love the book triology and did not imagine the characters the way they were portrayed in the movie. Was expecting a movie as well produced as Harry Potter. Wanted them to cover the first book but instead they started their random a$$ story. The acting was horrific, story was disastrous, VFX was shitty, need I say more? And no it's not about looks but atleast get the characters right
@@vartikasharma8330 I haven't read the books and I really wanna watch the show but the mixed reviews for the books kinda made it seem like I might not like it. Also based on the description of one character in the books, Agatha looks very different (if she had straight hair and wasn't as tall, I guess it would have been somewhat similar). For a new fan would you recommend this movie?

The writing and world building is complete garbage. Netflix did a good job on the movie in comparison to the book. Them books are nowhere near Harry Potter so idk why you were expecting Harry Potter type series. 😂

Sophie is pretty much acting the same as in the books, Agatha is acting wayyy too shy and awkward in my opinion.......I kinda imagined them having like some kind European accents? Like British or something lol

The actors aren't canon lol. Besides, Soman said you can interpret their accents as literally anything, however as he is American, living in America, it would be easier and make much more sense to get American actors/models.
I agree, some of the words of phrases in the books like “backside” are very British terms... I couldn’t really imagine an American saying that.

I think Hort and Sophie were perfect fit. They act so much like the characters from the book. I don’t know about Agatha and tedros. They weren’t what I was expecting, but it was still good.

Rafal doesn't show up until the 3rd book (ok... I get that he's TECHNICALLY there since the beginning... But he doesn't really have a name other than "school master" until the third book. You don't really see who he is as a person until the third book.

I honestly like the girl playing Sophie in the movie more. It’s mostly because I’m a fan of her, but I think she’ll be a great Sophie. That’s one of the only ones I’m excited for.
Loved everyone but the one who played Tedros was a little more stuck up then I imagined him and he looked more like a Chaddick

To be fair, Tedros and Chaddick are practically interchangeable in the first book. It's the second book where we get to see Tedros's vulnerable side and he becomes more than a cardboard cut-out fairy-tale prince.
I loved the video!!! And Agatha, Sophie, and Hort had really good actors!!! I loved Hort's dialogue😀 but I do wish that the boy playing Tedroa could've been Chaddick. He has amazing acting skills but just playing the wrong video.

@@joshushushu9092 Hi! I think the reason they didnt use this cast is because these people may not have a career in acting, but in one of their videos with these characters it said quest for glory, so these people could be in the quest for glory movie. Hope this helps! ^^

liza godun so far, the cast in these videos will not be the ones in the movie. Unless, well, the casting director for the films sees this and considers it, i guess. These were all Soman's picks to promote the new book and how he would imagine the characters to be in real life.

I love the Sophie and Hort! They are sooo spot on! Tedros looks more like a Chaddick though and wwaayy cockier. Agatha has blue eyes...? She nailed the awkward though! Just wish she was cockier and had the I-don't-care vibe going one. More chemistry needed too! Maybe I just need to warm up to them...?

This one is more accurate to the book version and illustrations, but the movie is supposed to be a different experience from the book, so we can experience the story all over again in a fresh, new way! So I’m excited for what new things the film has to offer and am happy with the casting choice considering all the actors would fit a different version of the same story!
@@Jaguar470 Yeah, so I was watching one of the interviews and Soman said we will all have our own verisons of the book, but this movie will be a verison we can all share. So instead of being like oh they didnt do this, we can just be like hey it isnt in this verison.

I heard about the fact that you could name a character in the new book and I would choose the name Willow because It sounds brave and courageous like many of the characters like Agatha.
