I love how Sophie is the most powerful and yet she just boosts her teammates and laughs. Evil has a great teamwork .

Something to note during the fight the villains use defensive spells. They defended their comrades, made fire walls and fought fair, used team work. The nevers were fighting alone likes villains do and used henchman tactics to overpower. It shows how good had been corrupted long before and evil had become soft
Very clever of Rafal - he only talked about how he'd corrupted good and made it weak, letting Sophie think he wanted evil to win, not mentioning as you pointed out that he'd also allowed 'evil' to become soft. And by letting evil lose for 200 years he's letting them (mostly Lesso) think that he would be like their saviour and would allow them to 'finally win' because they have gone soft and never stopped to consider that evil at its root is selfishness and cruelty and that he would only be interested in himself winning.
Your correct but some corrections here. The nerves are the villains your referring as whilst whilst the Evers are the ones that are using brute force tactics.
I like how the Evil Kids took advantage of the universal rule of Good vs Evil, where Good always win against evil. The switch between the schools really pulled a reverse uno on the Good Kids.

In the book it was much more intense and disturbing. The Nevers became full body beautiful, like they really changed in weight and hair color, not just clothes. The Evers grew horns, became cyclopses, hunchbacks, etc. Tedros became bald and scrawny. Im relieved thats not what they did in the show because it could have been too much. But Im also amazed they effrctively made the Nevers look 'good' and the Evers look evil' while just changing the clothes and some makeup, without making totally overhauling everything.

@@ari1758 You know, I have seen a lot of people say that, but I just finished the first book yesterday and while they did change some things (blood magic? The Trial by Tale. The Circus of Talents) I think they did a pretty good job. Still wondering where the blood magic comes in. I'm only on book two. Does it enter later?
Thats because all the Nevers were kind of hot already. Though I will say some of the Everboys looked much hotter as Nevers...I'm looking at you Tristan!
@@ari1758 For me, the movie is better. Tighter in storytelling, more decisive. Their friendship is stronger and Sophie is less annoying. Overall, the world building is less sloppy.

I love how Sophie's laughing and clapping like an entertained toddler to all of the ruckus and fighting. She looks so badass it's unbelievable.

The sheer loyalty of hort to sophie. I ship them so bad. There’s the scene after where both schools are united and hort was approached by a princess and he simply said “Sorry, my heart belongs to someone” ❤❤❤❤
Honestly, I hope they make sequels in the future where there’s more Hort and Sophie whether it’s a slow burn or not I just hope it’d be endgame.

When you thing about it the school of evil were always loyal and good to each other and sophie they were fast to accept sophie when she wanted to become friends with them and they defended her when she wanted to be with Tedros unlike the School of good who only looked beautiful and cared for themselves they were shallow and arrogant. If you think about it sophie was right when she said it was the schools that needed to switch not her. I just hope it would have happened without her being with Raphal and becoming evil. She was good from heart

I also feel like that why she was a suitable candidate for Raphal plain, evil for just being evil couldn't amplify the true darkness potential. If the strongest would be if the good inside Sophie was betrayed and stripped away from herself, then she would be the ultimate chaos.
but isn't that the point? It's all an effect of Rafal's corrupting both sides behind the scenes, making one side arrogant and weak and the other side desperate and weak, minimising the 'evil' and the 'good' to 'uglification' and 'beauty school'

Good was winning because all the villains were just people who were destroyed in brutal/horrible deaths because rafal made it so that would happen but, if all those villains joined together under maybe rafal they probably would have won against good
@@haydensfamilytv3397 point taken, but Rafal also claimed that the Good school is actually and evil school (according to their last conversation with Sophie). And the black good girl also noticed that the Good school is actually evil since they make their students animals or an objects (referencing to the curse of Beauty and the Beast).
I think the idea is that evil always has a certain strenght advantage over good, with more destructive weapons in their arsenal and less qualms about using it. Their disadvantage is often their hubris, being too arrogant, being egocentric, treacherous or too greedy, leading to their downfall. The first is needed to make an interesting adversary for the heroes, to be a challenge, the latter is needed to create balance. Similar with good, they need to be weaker than the villains at the start in order to have a challenge to face, otherwise they simply step over the villains and you don't have a story (this is also important). But their morality, their comradery, their unwavering willingness to sacrifice themselves for others, to be selfless, gives them moral strength which often benefits them later on. Fighting for the greater good, is what gave them the eventual edge.
But by attacking, they disturbed the balance between good and evil, in their disadvantage. Good never attacks, it is a selfish act of aggression, is a betrayal to their own morals and rahter arrogant too. They had the hubris that was the constant undoing of the Nevers. While the Nevers were "forced" to work together for the noble purpose of self-preservation and that of their fellow Nevers. In a way, they were now fighting for a greater good. Combine this with their greater strenght and the fact that in their hearts, they were still very comfortably evil (while the heroes believed they were good but were no longer as they attacked), the Never gained the benefits from both parties while the Evers got stuck with the worse of two worlds.

One thing I never got was why Hester isn't the one with the chocolate magic. Her mom is the witch from Hanzel and Gretle.
Not only do the Nevers have amazing team work, but just look at the two sides ! The Evers have only boys, because for an Ever After they need a partner, they have to be a prince and a princess to be happy. And also they left the girls in the castle because they are the mighty Princes who can battle evil. While the Nevers, they all fight !! Doesn't matter if girl or boy. I just wanted to put that out there 🥺
yeah! I loved that girl with a sword on 2:15, wish to see her more in the sequel if we'll be able to get one (btw, you can check the second book for more girls stuff. Books are, well, different from the movie (film is better for many reasons, trust me), but the idea isn't bad, at least for some fanfiction)

Whoever did the costume designs for this film deserves an Oscar nom.

I would not have tried to stop Sophie, honestly. The Nevers got the catharsis of having value within the system they have to exist, while the Evers got the karma *most* of them deserved. Too many of them were snobby and awful.

Agatha only tried to stop Sophie because she still believed there was good in her and everyone else around. She was right. Everyone is only human

Love the reverse outfits. Love the trio (Dot, Hester, Anadil). Love Tedros when he changed to “evil”. Love Tristan lol. I would have liked to see the Ever girls fight too. Beatrix and Reena can fight!
In the book this scene was so disturbing. I love how the movie changed scenes like this to make the movie the perfect mix of crazy and realistic. In the book, when all the good characters became ugly and overweight while all the evil characters became skinny and beautiful it really hurt to read. In the movie, the only changes being the colour of their clothes and changing their facial expressions made me really happy. I was eleven when I first read the book and I hated most of the characters, and after watching the movie, I don't think I really hate any of them

I guess after the battle when suddenly peace fell on the school it was a case of shared relief of being alive, of being glad that someone you see nearly every day being ok (even if they don't like each other they still see each other at most of the main school events) and a sudden connection since both sides were used and played for fools by the same man who was willing to let them all die no matter what side they were on. The switch, the battle, them all nearly being crushed to death, and them all being saved, I guess it just shocked the battle-lust out of them and made them a bit more appreciative of just being there.

@@4eyes104 well the second book title is the world without princes, because of what Agatha and Sophie show that a happy ending doesn't necessarily need a Prince. So the whole school system undergoes changes i think. its been so long ago
