1994 : my husband took me to a concert of Pink Floyd and it was amazing ! Music, voice, lightning, all was perfect 👌 2019 : I took my husband to a concert of Twenty One Pilots and it was amazing ! Music, voice, lightning, all was perfect 👌I almost forgot all the concerts I have seen between those two
Pink Floyd - one of the best bands from my younger years. If you ever want to watch a trippy film look for The Wall from 1982. I haven't seen it in probably 20 years, but I imagine it still holds up. Starting to feel really old over here and thinking I was born around the same time as your father based on these classics that he played for you.
Pink Floyd songs ---> Time , comfortably numb live to pulse concert 1994 , Hey you , Shine on you crazy diamond , On the turning away , Dogs = 18 min song , Coming back to life to Pulse concert 1994 , Marooned = great music, no lyric , they win a Grammys for this good music ... etc.. etc .. etc .. 😎👍🎸✨
I always knew of this band but it wasn't until I met my husband in 1996 when i was 22 that i really became a Pink Floyd fan. He was a huge fan and really introduced me to them. There's so many great songs by them. And much like 21 Pilots deep meanings and intense subject matter surrounded by great musicality.
Such a great song, and band. About 20 year's ago my husband and I were in Bali on holiday in a fancy restaurant, that had a singer and a couple of guitarists going table to table taking requests from the romantic couples. After numerous renditions of Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, they got to our table. I was happy to wave them away but my husband requested this. The singer didn t know it but the guitarists took over. So a personal concert, on a hot summers night. Brings back so many memories!! Pink Floyd are still the band I play when I'm kicking back with a drink. Just perfect.
Thanks for doing Pink Floyd, great job. Listening to Floyd really isn't like most other bands, I'm sure when you've heard more of Floyd, you'll come to realise what I mean. With that in mind let me offeryou some listening tips. Firstly: Many of PF's albums are 'concepts', where the whole album will have a theme or idea that's sometimes obvious, sometimes not so obvious and each track can also have a lot of backstory behind it. As such It's recommended that you learn a little about the track prior to listening. Trust me, you'll be rewarded for doing so. Second: Floyd often didn't record gaps between tracks on the original vinyl with each track merging seamlessly into the next. This means that when you listen to tracks in isolation, you may notice odd beginnings or endings where an artificial cut has been made to creat individual tracks. Third: I'd recommend listening to these albums in this order; Dark Side Of The Moon (1973) Wish You Were Here (1975) Animals (1977) The Wall (1979) This gives you a great look at Pink Floyd at their zenith. You may be thinking right now, "yeah, but just name me a few hits to listen too", well...that would be like asking somebody; which is their favourite child, I can't do it...they are all brilliant in their own way. Beyond these recommendations there's a lot more; Meddle (1971), The Division Bell (1994) to name just two. There's also a huge library of live performances, the 'Pulse' live tour recorded in 1994 has amongst it's set a version of the track 'Comfortably Numb' which has arguably the best rock guitar solo of all-time by David Gilmour. I hope to see you do more Pink Floyd reactions in the future, I hope to follow you on your journey.
Just last weekend I listened to my Pink Floyd, Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Kraftwerk and and and... My beloved vinyls .. enjoying this journey with you, hope you establish it on your channel.
What a classic beautiful song!! May I say how good-looking that man is! Effortless for him with those notes!! Awesome Reaction! Maybe you should do "Fil's Top List of Knicker Dropper Songs!" 😄 💜🥒
I usually don't listen to Pink Floyd, but a friend recommended them last year, and ever since I love this particular song of theirs, and I sing it very often. I love the guitars too (no computer beats them, indeed), but I have to leave the solo out, as I have only 2 hands. I think this song can be interpreted in many ways, but it's originally about one of their members who left the band and about the music industry if I'm not mistaken. I think the songs in this album receive more meaning in the context of the entire album. I'm sure their fans can confirm or discuss more about these aspects. It's a great song.
I've been watching and enjoying your twenty one pilots reactions... Pink Floyd is a much deeper and darker rabbit hole. If it's guitar you like, David Gilmour who is also the vocalist here, is considered one of the best of all time. Also, lyrically they have no peers imo. Check out "Comfortably Numb" by them next. Studio version please.
To listen to Pink Floyd is to embark into an exciting and beautiful voyage. Just enjoy all the album Dark Side of the Moon, and I'm sure you'll understand what I've just said. Stay safe, 💞💞
Pink Floyd is an absolutely great band. I like 'Learning to Fly' from one of their later albums. Actually I like a whole lot of their songs. So glad you're reacting to them.
this song always remind of when Homer Simpson worked as a trucker and sent Marge a postcard with a girl in bikini or something with the title Wish you were her
For pink floyd dont pause much, never pause on a gilmour solo, do not get distracted by the videos, alot of times it can ruin the feel and enjoyment of the song, except for concert footage which the visuals can enhance the song,
I am so surprised you don't know Pink Floyd. I mean I actually think they are a perfect match for you. Very poetic band. you simply now have to do more of them. Especially the songs from albums "The Wall" and "Dark Side of the Moon". Honestly, it's a shame you haven't been immersed into their music yet. On their albums, one song will lead into the next so sometimes it's hard not to listen in order.
Wish you were here was written when Pink Floyd co-founder Syd Barrett had to leave the band. He was fighting with insanity because of his excessive consumption of LSD. So it is a song about (lost) friendships and the lack of morality in the music industry. Now that you've entered the realm of classics, and because you love amazing sounds and bind blowing lyrics, you should really cover Kate Bush's "How to Be Invisible": th-cam.com/video/0FMtQrsKM8c/w-d-xo.html
This song was written long after Barrett had left and it wasn't written about him. Waters has said: "In a way it’s a schizophrenic song. It’s directed at my other half, if you like, the battling elements within myself. There’s the bit that’s concerned with other people, the bit that one applauds in oneself, then there’s the grasping avaricious, selfish little kid who wants to get his hands on the sweets and have them all. The song slips in and out of both personae, so the bit that always wants to win is feeling upset and plaintively saying to the other side, wish you were here."
Ok... I'm sold. I will subscribe because I know you gonna do more Floyd and are in for quite a trip.... journey.... experience.... it'll be fun to watch. You should do "Time" or "Comfortably Numb" next... and please do the studio versions first.
Dude, love your wow discovery of Pink Floyd! Go immediarely to watch the 1994 Pulse live concert of the dong "Sorrow". Follow that with Comfortably Numb from the same concert. Let us see your reaction to them, please. YOU WILL BE HOOKED FOR LIFE. Your welcome and Welcome.
Is it possible for you to do Pearl Jam, Black (MTV unplugged)? It would be highly appreciated😉. BTW Pink Floyd was, is and always will be one of the greats. Thank you!
YAY- another Pink Floyd reaction- and I am sure you will get plenty of recommendations, so, My 2 cents- Money- ( see what I did there)- Shine on you Crazy Diamond and Dogs- Enjoy the ride
Oh. You just start discovering the Pink Floyd universe? My friend. This music is on its own league. And there are even newer versions in case you dislike the old style. I just can wish for you that you continue to discover the only rock musoc that still will have fans in 200 years.
I previously commented on your Alter Bridge - Blackbird video saying it's my favourite band and favourite song ever. If you want to talk classics, Pink Floyd are my favourite ever classics band. You say you love guitar, well you need to listen to Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb. It'll take you to another place.
Best band of all times 😎🎸👍🎶 when you can, react to Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb ,, live to Pulse concert 1994 .. Best show, best stage and best live guitar solo by David Gilmour .. 🎸🎶 You have a new subscriber 👍
Thanks so much man.. I really appreciate the love and support! ☺️❤️ added to the list .. we going to make the Classics series a weekly thing so I will be adding this to it ☺️☺️
Please see my comment on your reaction of TØP "The Craving (Jenna's Version)". Fascinating that you asked the question "Do you really think the grass is greener?" Later on, after Roger Waters left the band and the remaining members were producing inferior music, one of the main hooks from one of their most popular songs of that time began with "The grass was greener." And, of course, there's always "the lunatic is on the grass".
As for other Pink Floyd recommendations, I would not recommend breaking down Dark Side of the Moon. I can't think of that album as tracks that can be reacted to individually. Maybe "Money," because it was the "hit" from the album, but that song doesn't even touch what the rest of the album is.
If you like the guitar you should check out Stevie Ray Vaughn. In my opinion he is one of the greatest of all time. Live versions of Voodoo Child or Little Wing are awesome. He died in a helicopter crash around ‘92 after cleaning up his life from drug and alcohol abuse.
Oh no now you did it dude! You just went down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole- Time or Comfortably Numb or Another Brick in the Wall should be the next songs - and please! Only do album quality versions- this one was an album version- never been a fan of recorded live music any where- it’s rare but I guess it happens in Comfortably Numb Pulse concert- I give that song a pass
Thank you ❤ really ❤ i think your generation never will underatand what we felt when we lissend them, forexample we, who lived an socialist country that time.. 😊 and its good, you need understand actuali time. ❤ thank you 🙌🙌 it was cool to lissen whit you!!!! Love you
Ahh! Welcome to Pink Floyd! They say a lot in their songs; capitalism, war, music, etc. They are great to just chill to. They are usually quite mellow- EXCEPT for the The Wall soundtrack. You should review the whole Wall soundtrack. OOH! It could be a movie night. Watch the movie while reviewing it! It would be crazy. You don't really have to. THAT would be a long review video! Most of their albums are kind of concept in that each song builds off the previous. They kind of run into each other. I'd have to think on what are good solo songs to do. It is another rabbit hole! Like TOP. Lots to listen to.
For the record... The Wall is not a soundtrack album. It is a stand-alone original rock classic that came out years before the movie, which was a film adaptation of the classic album. Falls somewhat short in my opinion, and should never the ranked as equivalent to the album. It remixes and leaves out songs. Even has Bob Geldof singing/mumbling key lines. Not the same at all.
I must agree with Flubbert! Do not suggest The Wall "soundtrack"... I really enjoyed the movie.. enjoyed the music... but the music from the original album was chopped up for the movie...
Dude, by pausing it so much, you are ruining the experience not only for yourself but also for your viewers...LISTEN and react AFTERWARDS! Use it, don't use it.
Just giving my thoughts and I also need to deal with Copyright in order for the video not to be blocked. I appreciate the feedback though❤️ it’s not done intentionally to annoy anyone.
Almost jealous that you get to hear all the classics for the first time.
Ikr. I wish I could hear this for the first time.
Comfortably Numb & Another Brick in the Wall from The Wall
1994 : my husband took me to a concert of Pink Floyd and it was amazing ! Music, voice, lightning, all was perfect 👌 2019 : I took my husband to a concert of Twenty One Pilots and it was amazing ! Music, voice, lightning, all was perfect 👌I almost forgot all the concerts I have seen between those two
I'm still in shock that there was someone who has never heard this song before. 😲 Great reaction as usual. 💕
You’ve got a solid six months worth of continuous Pink Floyd reactions to get through.
Comfortably numb/ Learning to fly/ Darkside of the moon/ Hey you..... Great high school memories
You will be amazed when you go deeper in the rabbit hole of pink floyd 😎 my favorite band.
I saw them here in Lisbon in 1994 and I will never forget that concert! Of course I began listening to them in the 70's
Wow take me way back i still jam Pink Floyd their music was great!
comfortably numb is a must, gotta love a bit of pink floyd
Try Pink Floyd Echoes - live at Pompeii
Where they play in an empty Amphitheater with no audience but a bunch of ghosts
Can't go wrong with Pink Floyd 🥰
Comfortably Numb: Literally mind blowing when all of the instruments swell and blend together in the chorus. Spiritual experience like no other. 💕
Pink Floyd - one of the best bands from my younger years. If you ever want to watch a trippy film look for The Wall from 1982. I haven't seen it in probably 20 years, but I imagine it still holds up.

Pink Floyd! Listen to “Hey You” from Another Brick in the Wall album.
The album is "The Wall".
