Painting the Tamiya drivers is an art form in it's own right and I won't hear otherwise. People take ages over everything else and then avoid or do a crappy job on the driver. Does my head in lolz :D
If you have flat black or dark brown enamel paint then you can thin it with 80% enamel thinners and just touch it with the thinnest brush you have onto the creases on the face it will come to life. let it half dry and wipe most of it off with a moist cotton bud dipped in enamel thinners. I know it sounds a lot but it takes about 10 seconds (not including the drying time) and it improves the look of the face by 1000% 👍
😂 This was really helpful. You sound like me “No painting skills whatsoever” 😂 I love the cars and building the models, but painting the bodies and drivers, not so much. Thanks for the tips!
to me the whole point of having ahobby is killing idle time....so whats the rush? I spent a week painting the rally car interior, was super relaxing and what else was i gonna do all week?
He he very good cheat! I'm not too found of painting drivers ... but do it anyway, the slow and hard way. The satisfaction after all that pain is great ;-) But this actually is the best "quick" result I've seen. Usually the "quick paint"-jobs I've seen are absolutely horrible. Thanks for sharing, mate. Have you tried the Tamiya "paint pens"? (I have not).
Come on😀 it's takes a little bit of time masking and priming but the results are fair more appealing especially if your displaying like you are 😊 I couldn't look at them and be happy with black shiny marker on them 😔😃 But that is why this hobby is so Awesome 🤘 it doesn't matter what others think only what makes you happy 👍👍🤙

I’m not the biggest fan of painting, the black marker route seems ideal for me. Thanks for the tips!!!
OMG I would of never thought of doing that. Great handy tips.

Painting is way better, but this is certainly a easier alternative 😊👊🏻
Using the permanent marker is so much easier!
Any videos on making an Lancia S4 from a hf Lancia?? Thank's.
You could also use a "Testor's" paint pen too.
I always use paint markers for all my drivers n sometimes light buckets n small things that would be nearly impossible to paint 👍😎
"A big, fat, dirty, black, permanent marker" lol. Loved it! Great tip, thanks!

Wish I’d watched this before buying loads of paint haha
Haha this is an old video 😅👊🏻
nice cars dude
Thanks for this very good tip!
Very nice tips!!!
Great tip thanks!! Don't you use the seatbelt decals that are on the decal sheets in the kits??
Could you use marker pen for other small details in different colours?
There are paint pens as well for a good compromise.
Great Vid. Where do you get your spares (tyres, body shells btw)? Nice familiar accent btw, I'm originally from Wibsey ;-)
Off topic... but where did you get those display cabinets? They look perfect for RC cars :-)

Title says "How to paint driver"... then he doesn't paint the driver.
