This might be the most helpful comment I have ever gotten, and it's not even about motorcycles. 😅 Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Have a great day!
Great project! I really like the look of the new footpegs. Also, great how you've reverse engineered the design and found a way to make it work with what you had at hand 🙌
You should cap those pipes, otherwise they can turn into a cookie cutter. Best case cutting through the end of the grip. Worst case impaling someone. Fun project though.
i'm u guys on the other side of the wather, knows alcohol (ipa) is best inside :D . For grips just a drop of dishsoape with wather, that also waporise... and getting grips off, take the compressor-gun, and put the point under the rubber, it will expand it a bit...
I never thought of using grips for pegs. That's cool. You ought to make those, to sell. I hope it would be easier to fit them on stock Harley peg mounts, just replacing the rubber. I'm curious, about why you didn't use any glue. And I hope the bottom line on your hat isn't something that you actually do. Oh, yeah. And the black grips would probably look a lot better on your bike.
Thanks! You think there would be a market? I could make a few if there's interest. I also think that the standard Harley peg mounts are much simpler. I never use any glue on my grips, I thought I would try it on the pegs as well. If they start slipping it's easy enough to add some glue, and until them it's easy to change the grips without destroying them. 🙂 I don't worship anything, so no reason to worry! You might be right about the black grips, but I thought it was more fun to do something different. 🙃
Yo man, ypur savage build/videos are great. I use my savage as a year round daily driver in Philadelphia and im working out a build for mine. I use these same grips pn my bars and the footpegs -- your work here is great but there is an easier way to do this. What i did was replace my pegs with generic sportster pegs that have a 1 inch OD. i carefully cut the rubber bumper down on the ends and slipped the grips right over the pegs -- the new pegs fit in the stock mounting holes with an m6 hex head cap bolt and a small spacer. Can show of interested.
Thank you very much! That definitely sounds like an easier route! How did you manage with the handlebar grips being slightly longer than most foot pegs? I would love to see it!
Need video on : loud bike/ rotwaller /hows to remove teeth from my leg- . THINKING : humane shooting bb pistol and holder! ???out my drive and theres me neighbors beast.... ugh.... although in town .. was side street and mini chuawawa... him not move out street and gave me evil eye... him like 15 yr and was tha man! he finally went for a nap.. ugh. got tired.. lolol
Those are my new favorite grips. I want them on all my builds, i love the way they feel!
I agree, they are awesome! I hope they feel equally as good for my feet. 😅
Very nice. Much much better than stock. It will probably dampen vibrations better too.
Thanks man! I’m glad you like them! 🤘 Yeah, I think these should be a bit smoother than the stock ones.
I’d be interested to see longevity of those grips. Have a feeling they would wear down very quickly.
Me too actually. I'm sure they will wear faster than regular foot pegs, but I guess just time will tell how fast.
One peg matches. Pegs, being plural, must match but they cannot matches.

Thanks mate! I really appreciate it! 🙏

Thanks for your comment! You are totally right! Easy enough to just pull them off and cap them. I'll make sure to do that before spring arrives.
vans makes grips? im definitely getting some for my project!
They do, in a bunch of different color! They are actually really nice!
Will it be done in time for summer?
It will! But summer is a few months away over here and I need something to keep me busy. 😅

Haha, you're right, there are better uses for IPA! 🍻
I will try dish soap the next time! Thanks for the tips!

my neighbor built allum feet pegs.. omg
Haha, that actually sounds pretty awesome! 😀
When will you go into series production with this creative Savage-Foodlebar-Solution? 👌🏻
Not sure about series production, but I guess regular production would be doable if there’s any demand. 😀
Someone really knows their fans..... 😇😇.... 🤩🤣@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot

@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot The inside end of the grip has about a half inch collar, I just carefully cut that off with a razor blade
@@pauljosephnolan7251 Very clever! 👍

Haha, that's a video I wouldn't wanna take part in! 😅
Pitiful riding gear
I agree! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
