I've had my 2020 1.4 lt Sonic for 7 months. The only problem I have is with semi-aggressive acceleration, freeway on-ramps etc. the engine hesitates and if I keep giving it throttle it continues to hesitate, and while hesitating the transmission seems to be confused as to which gear it wants, If I let off of the gas the engine will smooth out again.
I've taken the car in 3 times with the complaint. They keep telling me that the problem is inherent with this engine, can't fix it. Have you experienced this?
Also, the gas mileage sucks at 25.3 city, 26.2 road. not good in my opinion

@@Boomatronicsyea i KINDA have that problem but not when im like fully open throttle only when im slowly speeding up for a pass or sumthin. The turbo has a few miles on it i was gonna repace the whole thing anyways and get lines, filters cleaned etc. i bet it will pull much more aggressively lol

Avoid this car cause the engine is garbage. get a traiblazer or a spark if you want a small car, and take care of it.

Spark engine sucks compared to this one... it's 98 HP rubber band under the hood. Sonic has a lot more power to get on the interstate and pass slow drivers.

Hate to burst your bubble, but "It would be informative to include horsepower and torque ratings in your review." Just to recap your annoying how ironic. You didn't capitalize the I in It when your supposed to when you form a sentence we all learn that in low grade school. You also put too many spaces between the words would and be, informative and to, and and torque, torque and ratings, ratings and in, your and review.
