The manual says a maximum payload of 150kg in it but I’m certain there is a ton of leeway in that conservative number. The frame can certainly handle 200kg and with the forks and shock adjusted to maximum preload I’m sure they can handle 200 easily.
How did the suspension handle with regards to the general bad state of the roads these days? I am seriously considering buying an adventure style bike just for the longer travel suspension to cope with the bad roads and the fact that my knees aren't as good as they used to be!
The suspension is better suited to bad roads compared to a sports bike, but it’s no off road motorcycle either, mines setup pretty stiff from factory. You will still feel pot holes etc just your teeth won’t fall out. Test ride if you can before you buy
I have the same bike 3 years naw and 17000km 95% drove with a passenger. The only problem I found are the vibration through the entire bike, but otherwise is a very good and sturdy bike.
Have you had the wheels balanced, it seems a common issue for cause of vibrations especially at speed. Mine doesn’t vibrate but then it was loaded as I’m no light weight rider,
thank you for the lovely review including with the pillion!

Manufactures always say less that way they can prevent accidents or failures as it will not be stressed to the maximum , I believe
With that fat bird on the back it would struggle
It doesn’t struggle at all I’ll have you know , not that the wife is heavy
