The way Krav Maga allows you to walk in peace is that it gives you confidence to know that if you had to, you could better defend yourself. A good Krav Maga practitioner tries to avoid conflict (that is also another way it allows you to walk in peace). Having an understanding of what happens in a fight or attack, the knowledge to avoid it and the possible consequences of it comes from firsthand knowledge of fighting.

I practice this an am loving it, I am a farley short guy approximately 5,5 feet tall and 128 lbs and in my Krav Maga Class there are guys that brakes the 6 feet mark and are real gym Beef Cakes, and I am able to bring THEM down with minimal force. That really builds confidence.
But as cbdesign1 says in his comment:
A good Krav Maga practitioner tries to avoid conflict.
    Witch I agree to 100%.

I enjoyed my 5 years in KRAV, but it has really fallen off the map the last several years. It was time to move on. MMA is the superior stuff

This is very basic self defense, it teaches you to react and get away, not fight. You wont become a great fighter from this system. If you meet a local martial artist or wrestler you should walk away. That's where this system fails
