The physics of this game seem a bit worse to the older IL-2 games, a lot of these planes would be completely destroyed on impact, but on this they seem to bounce around even when crashing from steep angles at very high speeds. Still epic to watch though!

It's strange that il-2 Sturmovik, a game that literally is about the graphics of crashes and dogfights, has worse graphics than war thunder, a competitive ww2 combat game that's more about the combat than the graphics

No way. This game looks way better than War Thunder. In cockpit view War Thunder is incredibly crusty. This game also has way better reflections and fire.
