FANTASTIC job!!! We arrive to one of these rooms in exactly 3 weeks for our wedding!!! Your video helped raise our excitement level... so thank you for taking the time to post! :)
Zaco95, Not sure if you’ve gone yet as it’s a year later but the end room has less privacy. We had in the middle and it was perfect for being able to go sans bathing suit. We had building 7 #7175 but we also requested 7 or 5. I recommend a middle room instead. Trip was amazing! Go to secret treasure shack on the beach. You can see it easily it has blue painted steps and awesome one hour professional massages for $35-$45 while listening to the ocean! Simply perfect!
Nice video, thank you. We are heading there in September and are staying at the club, ocean front two-story, like yours. Can you advise, which swimming pool do the club members use? At their other resorts like Playa Mujeres, club members have their own pool. However, it seems at this location, each building as its own pool beside the main pool by the restaurants. Do club members use the pool at their own building which seems to be for the rooms below with swim up suites? Thanks.
From what I saw, club members just used their own private pool or their own swim up pool (depending on their room type). Outside of these pools, you can also use the main pool, which also has a swim up bar. Technically you are allowed to use any of the Excellence Club pools. These pools are the swim out pools. So while any EC member is able to use those, it seems that it would be quite awkward to get into someones swim out pool right in front of their room. I'm sure that some people still do it, but we would have felt out of place doing that. Those are the only EC specific pools and then there is just one main pool. Hope this helps!
Hi! We have booked this room category for our honeymoon, hoping you can answer 2 questions.. Does the plunge pool receive direct sun? and is the plunge pool large enough for 2 adults to enjoy together?
Hi, great video! I have my honeymoon booked here for next year and love the end room you had and you mentioned at the end of the video that you can request a specific room in advance. Is this what you did? If so who did you contact? TIA
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I called +1 866 211 6223 to make my request. They assign rooms 24 hours before check in, so you'll want to make sure you've given them a call before that. I made my request about 3 days before arriving and both requests were granted. I asked for an end room and to be in either building 7 or building 5. I got an end room in building 5! I believe you can also email them to make the request. You may have some issues with the call dropping right as it's about to be your turn. It's usually as 50/50 chance that it will do this from what I've seen and heard. So just keep that in mind. I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have other questions! Cheers
The seaweed was not too bad for us. We definitely saw it daily, but the resort staff did a great job with quickly cleaning it up. We went into the water a few times and did feel it on our toes every now and then, but it was easy enough to just move to another spot without it. We didn't notice any type of bad smell or anything like that. I will say that from monitoring the Facebook pages, it looked much worse in the weeks after we were there. Late-June looked like the seaweed really piled up. Again, the staff does their best with this though.
I booked 7 days in this resort for September, but it looks so bored ( it’s very quiet). The hotel is full capacity or not? And all the restaurants are open ? Thanks
I believe the resort was at 60%-70% capacity during our stay in May. It is just such a big resort, which is why it may seem quiet at times. All restaurants are open currently. We even had a short wait to be seated at a few of our dinners. The resort basically closes down between 11pm and midnight, which we were pretty disappointed about. The Sports Bar has two pool tables, which we really enjoyed, but they closed at 11pm each night. This seemed pretty early to us. The only open option after 11pm is the Martini Bar (main bar), but they close at midnight and start closing down at 11:30pm. We would have liked for something to be open until at least 1am to be able to get drinks. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello! Dinner reservations are not needed and are not available to be made. The only reservation you can make is for the Hibachi table top experience at Spice. Reservations are able to be made daily beginning at 5:00pm, but people start lining up between 4:30 and 4:40. We noticed that all reservation times are booked within the first few minutes of them starting to take reservations. So you'll want to be there early to ensure you get a good time. Seatings are on the hour beginning at 6pm with the last seating at 9pm!
Way to make a resort and vacation so so unfun. As soon as you started talking about Bulgari and the same product in All the bottles, you had no idea what your talking about. Wow..

Hi LOVED YOUR VIDEO. WHAT ROOM NUMBER DID YOU GET ?
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! We were in building 5, room number 5171! This room is on the end of the building (no neighbors on one side)!
Who do I contact to request 5171?
What room number were you in?
