that'd be a fun question to ask the insurance companies. Is it seriously true that insurance companies make the homeowners keep items within the house when it's close to collapse ?!
@@ProJoe-xb5ie It is called flood insurance. Most homes along the shore and sandhills region where I am require it along with regular insurance. If unfamiliar with flood insurance the FEMA website is a good resource to learn about it.
Why not disassemble the houses while still in one piece, and one location. Why have to clean up miles of beach later. Thanks insurance companies, maybe you should reevaluate your coverage process when natural destruction is imminent. This whole situation can be avoided. Besides the one house collapsing almost took out the house next to it. None of this makes any sense for the home owners or the environment.
It would help if you told when the house was built. I'm sure it was built over 30 years ago. At the time, it wasn't that close to the ocean. Erosion is causing this. Very sad all around.
Because it was built over 30 years ago and wasn't close to the ocean! Erosion through the years has moved it closer and closer to the ocean. Now this happened.
No matter who you are or how much money you have, it’s still sad to lose your home.
Nature always wins.
Why do they not remove the window glass. 😱 Obviously these houses are abandoned because of safety.

The homeowner is ready for their insurance payday now

Duh… I mean come on. Do y’all even have a Planning Dept in that shthole?
So sad. Just imagine all the memories in that home. I've never been down to Rodanthe. I have been to Ocracoke but never further down that way.

insurance will not pay the claim if you alter that home in any way. Demolition costs would be pretty high so best to just wait till this happens.

Some insurance companies are going down, hopefully!!
Nature reclaims what belongs to her.
Nature had her way of cleaning house. Why don't we?
Sooner or later Mother Nature will take her land back.
The future of Americas beaches and water front property. Who is going to clean up this beach?
Home by the sea
You’re literally living in the ocean, what else would you expect 🙄
Not at the time this home was built. It was built well over 30 years ago. It was not that close to the ocean when it was built. Erosion is doing this.
why and what insurance company would insurance them building over the beach in the water with waves hitting them or even let them built over sand
Because it was built over 30 years ago and wasn't close to the ocean! Erosion through the years has moved it closer and closer to the ocean. Now this happened.
No worries Joes sending billions for cleanup and rebuilding
While doni denies the sea levels are rising.
