Before i saw your channel, I didnt get choppers, I thought they were rediculous and pointless, I still think theyre ridiculous and pointless, but thats why theyre fuckin awesome.
My feelings exactly. I absolutely respect the engineering and artistic talent and execution.
America NEEDS a guy like this designing high quality CREATIVE motorcycles COMMERCIALLY... he's an absolute Artist AND Genius.
To have ourselves a truly Grass Roots motorcycle manufacturer, that could do the RnD and production IN HOUSE, and then sell those motorcycles domestically, FOR A REASONABLE PRICE after everyone involved getting FAIRLY paid, is just one shot in the arm this Country NEEDS again.
The 2 sprockets coupled with a chain is the coolest thing I've seen on a bike to day!

Man, that thing SCREAMS Rat Rod. It is the EMBODIMENT of muscle, blood and guts! It doesn't drip oil, it EXCUDES MAN SWETT! Great bike.

My late Dad had Airhead BMW's, now I've got a 78' R100S. Always happy to see those motors, happy memories.
That BMW is beautiful. Very unusual design. i live in a country where prestige is something new and it has to shine but i would love it just to prove that you can enjoy something that seems to be out of waste.
I had trouble believing it, at the time, but my Daddy bought me a used Sears Mo-ped when I was 13 years old, for $35. I was hooked from then on. Nothing like the feeling of freedom, coolness, and pleasure that riding motorcycles brought me. I loved working on them, also. I'm 72 and arthritic now, haven't ridden much, at all, in over 20 years, and probably couldn't handle anything that weighed much more than 200 pounds. I do miss it, considerably, though. I would ride that BMW in a heartbeat, if I were able. Thanks for the great video. I enjoy the rider's eye view because it kind of simulates the feeling of me riding.
I've done several correct as possible to showroom restorations of old Japanese motorcyles, but this thing is just so opposite all that. I love it !!
I love how you can tell it's running points and resistor-less plugs/boots because of what it does to the mic!

that shaft drive with the ATV diff. is the single sickest thing I've ever seen in my bike life. The essence of a pure engineer.
I don't understand why someone would think this bike is impractical. It's a great looking and running bike that is easy to service and maintain and for them reasons I think this type of bike is the most practical

The BMW rat bike is a work of art. I would have that back in my living room. You could buy motorbikes any day of the week but where would you find a bike like this it is beautifully done and is a work of art I would pay £100 just to sit on it. The builder of this bike is a god Well done guys find work

Great motorcycle guys, if I could afford a custom? I now know where I would go to describe my vision and let these guys run with it to make my trips just as much of an adventure at stops as on the road. I would brag about this builder on my headstone.

I'd ride it til the wheels fall off, we found an old BMW in iraq, after a carb cleaning and new plugs it fired up, push start only, someone jacked the kicker

Great video! Just a bit of trivia, all the way til they closed in the 50’s the Indian motorcycle Co . Had an option that customers could swap out the newer girder and telescopic front ends for the earlier leaf spring style and about 15% of new buyers did as it handled really well . Though IMO they aren’t as nice looking, just seeing this bike told me she probably rides really sweetly. Would love to try it . Thanks for another great video 👍

Thanks Man, reminds me of the good old days building cars, chicken coops, motorcycles, or whatever. In a Zombie apocalypse, Guys like Eric are going to be whats left over. No more accountants that can't eat unless its a burger or starbucks will be left unless they are eating people :)
The front end... I've seen other bikes with the leaf springs. It's an old style, and even Harley had them.
The BMW "Boxer," engine, is really similar to those the Germans used in WWII.
Moto Guzzi also had similar engines, known as the "horizontally opposed 2 cylinder engines." I think Moto Guzzi had a 4 cylinder as well... Maybe BMW did to...
It sounds great! The ride might be a little rough... But you're already experienced on hardtails...
If the bike is using a magneto, better shielded plug wiring would eliminate the electrical discharge you hear on your video...

Yea I'd ride it, it is in better shape than the XS-650 I rode from Texas to Colorado and back.
what kind of mind does it take to build something like that it's called a mechanical f****** genius used to build bikes like that back in the day back then everyone called them junk now they're cool and called rat bikes or customs How times have changed love it though and love your enthusiasm keep up the good work

Where (and when) I'm from, almost everybody started riding boxer twins - Urals, Dneprs, y'know, all that good shit. A whole lotta time had passed, but I still appreciate a good airhead boxer bike.

You'd think the owner would run the chain a little tighter? Especially bein a rigid and with the brake mounted on the jack shaft. Someone likes replacing drive chains or havin some weird wicked SLAP action the VERY SECOND the back brake pedal is even touched. HAHAHAHAHA awesome concept !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
