Hi there I have my own machine and was glad to see him check the machine for sideways extended balance. Must know your limits. Bravo from Victoria Australia
we had a bunch of 325C's they're good machines. We run them 15,000hrs until selling them. Replaced a couple with 324Es and they are a little undersized. 329 is a perfect replacement
Great video. Glad to see him take the first scoop. Too bad developers of paint cannot come up with some kind of paint that will keep tractors looking good.
You guys in the USA are so lucky with your soil structures, I've been following this let's dig chap, and your soils come out like powder not like in the UK where its a lot more clay-like and sticky.
@@iamtimko8103 come to the Midwest flat as a pancake very few rock rich black dirt high in organic matter and fields are big squares. Not many trees or people. But after all, this is all we have. Really you guys have plenty of other things besides Agriculture.

Hahaha!!! You got a turtle hound wanting some turtle soup. Nice CAT excavator. I started watching this channel when you got the Army 6x6 dump stuck. There is a channel on here that sells military surplus vehicles that have or had a 8x8 HETT dump truck that would go good with that new shovel.
I honestly feel you are better off finding these pre-emission machines that were not used hard and building them to like new again and running them…these “D” model Cats were indestructible and would dig like mad!..2004 and older are the best ones!..preferably without EGR as well!..that’s a super good machine!…a company I worked for had and Ex1100 and a 375 and although the Ex1100 had way more power and swung a bigger bucket, the Cat was much faster and swung 3 cycles to the hitachi’s 2 cycles…they sold the Hitachi and kept the Cat!..
I hope he let you have a go just like when we were all kids. There is nothing worse than a friend bringing out new toys to play with in the sand box, then not sharing with the others L.O.L
Looks like you guys were out in the back of Charlie's land where those hydro wires cross over. Looks like it's been pretty rainy and wet for you guys too.....
You boys should get a metal detector. I'm sure you're near some areas where some cool historic events took place. I'll fly out there and probe around with you! haha......after I turn in my resume!
I like how he didn't even try to go off into the woods or anything he went as far back into his yard as he could possibly take it then finally said screw it I'll dig here lmao
Guns always track with their feet, especially getting on the transporter, they never loose their orientation, drives are the right end, except for swinging a pick, not bad though, I like cat for grunt, and Hitachi for control and speed.
@@gerfromireland8077 been a T&T unit driver for the last ten years so my opinion is dated, when I was a dedicated excavator operator cat ruled the stats as far as break out force went, and this is just my opinion but I always preferred kobelco for precision and I've always been a Hitachi man because I thought it was a good ballance of everything leaning slightly toward precision and speed.... again- just my opinion, operators are usually loyalists to one brand or another, I prefer to judge machine by machine when it comes to makes
Question, it appears that you may have begun to contract some jobs for yourself like the last rebuilding of a small pond that you just finished and the new excavator is going to be apart of that new venture, or am I wrong in my assumption? I sincerely hope that my question is not perceived as being out of line.
Is that one equipped with GPS (Topcon?) The operator we have using ours on site says the gps all works fine above ground but once you get deep down its out but 40-100mm :S Plus side though is the 325D's are amazing on fuel consumption compared to the older model CATs haha :)
Thatx, I've been away from the business for a while. In a year or so I will be looking for one.. I almost had heart failure with what they pay for machines on gold rush. Someone is making money on them and fuel up there LOL

It just blows my mind how Equipment changes throughout the years !
I wish I could buy one of these just to play around with it. It would be so fun to just dig my backyard then fill it back up whenever I'm bored!

Seems like a real tight machine! I do wish I had a 325 to run instead of the 321D CR with its small ass cab

Man, Charlie must be thrilled! New toys are always fun.
What a GORGEOUS machine!
My 2yr son loves this video, from Sydney, Australia.

It depends where in the US you are we have plenty of clay here in VA
Yeah, where I’m at in the USA you’re likely to be digging stone after 6-8 inches
I’m in Pennsylvania USA and we have a mix of everything rock sand clay just depends on where you’re diggin
Here in the hill country of TX you can’t dig a few inches without hitting rock.

Is that a dent in the back left panel near the air slits?
I used to run an FM 325 stacking logs. Sweet machines.

Great vid also nice excavator
Nice machine ! I'm wondering,...Volvo or Cat,.....I think we should have a competition between Chris and Charlie.
With the 250 and 325
Both great machines
Beautiful dog. I miss my redbone dog I had
Even with a hydraulic thumb those damn 325Ds got so much jam, they should have come from the factory with a 2.5 yard bucket lol

haha no this was in the backyard, the path going back there had grown in too much and we didnt want to scratch the paint
