I wanted to make a full detailed guide for the new 90++ nodes, but time on my hand is limited, so here is the “short” version. For those who immediately want to get to the point, the updated farming efficiency diagram is as follow: _lv90++ 6 CE slot > lv90++ 5 CE slot > lv90+ 6 CE slot_ *What’s new in lv90++ nodes?* The new lv90++ nodes maintain the irregular formations (not 3/3/X enemy waves) & possible mixed class of enemies that we already saw with the introduction of the old lv90+ nodes, but change some core aspects of our farming routine: 1) _Enemies have massively increased HP values:_ if old lv90+ nodes topped around 150k ~ 250k, the new lv90++ nodes will reach the 500k ~ 1M range! 2) _High DPS checks even in the first or middle (second) waves:_ while the old lv90+ nodes had a “linear” increase of HP for the enemies, the new lv90++ can give us very high HP enemies in early waves, meaning our primary DPS won’t have all the buffs from supports yet (or our secondary DPS may not deal enough damage to clear the wave). 3) _Occasional 2 waves nodes:_ this impact buster looping comps the most (since they can’t reduce cooldowns enough even with double Koyan) but can also be a hindrance to arts comps that relies on arts chain to charge supports NP for example (you must get it on the first turn!) *How to deal with lv90++ nodes* The main problem is the obviously the new high HP standard for the enemies and that means we need to squeeze FAR MORE damage from our DPS servants, but the irregular layout & HP distribution of enemies will also call for Multi Core farming comps more than even before. These are the most common steps used to approach lv90++ nodes: 1) _Black Grail CE or Event Bonus Damage CE:_ the universal solution for all DPS servants for more damage, with Black Grail CE being the safest (and hardest) investment for Events that don’t have a Bonus Damage CE. 2) _Oberon & Crane support:_ Oberon is the most helpful servant if you need damage & NP charge, while Crane is the universal “more damage” option if (big IF) you can spare the party cost, especially in multi core comps where you also get the benefits of her NP charge. 3) _Primary DPS Servants with high NP level & special damage (niche):_ class advantage is a given, but don’t expect NP1 servants without niche to be able to clear the new lv90++ nodes; aside NP levels you want to look for servants with Super Effective NP (or to a lesser degree with Bonus Damage Buffs) against the enemies of that specific node. 4) _Secondary DPS Servants with AoE charge & AoE buffs:_ we call them Multi Core specialists and they will greatly help you dealt the mixed classes & irregular layout of enemies (you should already know them from the old lv90+ nodes, but now they are even more important), since it’s not uncommon for lv90++ having to use two NPs (usually one AoE and one ST) in the same wave. 5) _Buffs Stacking, Attribute advantage, Raw Stats from Grails & Foues:_ when you are trying to reach such high damage ceiling you need to know how to use every option at your disposal, from choosing the right DPS with attribute advantage for extra 10-20% damage, to selecting the right supports/secondary DPS that provide the type of buffs that stacks multiplicatively with your own primary DPS; finally if your Grailed & Gold Foued waifu/husband happens to be viable for a particular nodes, you’ll definitely be grateful for the extra Raw Stats (but remember to always grails for love!) *Farming Efficiency for lv90++ nodes* I’ve already spoilered the answer at the beginning of this post (lv90++ 6 CE slot > lv90++ 5 CE slot > lv90+ 6 CE slot), now I will go into details: 1) _Lv90++ 5 CE slot vs Lv90+ 6 CE slot:_ if you only look at Event Mats drops (Event Shop Mats, Event Points, …) these two alternatives will net you basically the same benefits. However, the new lv90++ nodes will provide 1318 Base Bond (compared to 1098 Base Bond for Lv90+ nodes), on top of better drop rates for Ascension Materials (also better than Free Quests) and for Event CE (extremely important for Lottery Events!), so the new nodes are the clear winner. 2) _Lv90++ 6 CE slot vs Lv90++ 5 CE slot:_ this may seem obvious, being able to bring one more drop bonus CE is better, right? However, in order to reach the damage required clear the new nodes in 3 turns, you’ll need such a high party cost for support servants alone that you won’t be able to afford bringing a full set of Bonus CE in the party, especially in the case of Lottery Events where you’ll want only 5* lotto CE (unlike in this current Event, where I also want to use 3* CE until I clear the Event Shop). Furthermore, in 6 slot comps you’ll be forced to bond only with the usual supports servants and a very small set of DPS servants that can deal enough damage without a Damage CE/Black Grail: in other words you won’t be able to leverage the benefits of the higher Bond Points for lv90++ nodes, in order to bond with your favourite units and avoid reaching bond 15 on your supports only. *Conclusion* I think the new lv90++ nodes can be seen as a healthy addition to the game: they will in no way limit new players with a smaller roster of servants, who can still farm the easier lv90+ or even lv90 nodes; at the same time they will give veterans players a more efficient way to spend their AP, especially considering the recent mechanics added to the game like Append Skills and Grailing to lv120, which requires a lot of in-game resources. Most importantly, the new nodes will force players to level up and use more servants than before (playing to each servant niche!) and they are Lasengle way of telling us they don’t want us to invest in only a few omni-farmer and forget the rest of the cast. Well… they also want us to spend in the Gacha to reach higher NP levels in general… as if Servant Coins were not enough of a blow for Free to Players. Personally, I’m very happy with any improvement to the game we can get (given how slow they usually are to roll them out), just as long as they don’t scale the amount of resources needed to keep up with the new game mechanics until we are “forced” to run the new lv90++ nodes, but this doesn’t seem to be the case so far even on JP.
Hey Fox, thanks for putting this together. With double summer Skadi now, quick team works well (summer okita) but need face cards. Really enjoying quick team setup.
It is very telling about the difficulty of the node if a servant with class partial class advantage and 100% damage bonus needs to be np 2 to clear a 90++ wave
Don't forget "with Super Effective NP" and "with the third highest atk stat in the game" 😆. To be fair, we have other options to clear the first wave with less investment (ST DPS like Kintoki for example), but none of them can buff the primary DPS as much as Summer Ibuki. Her having the biggest Bond Bonus for the Event is also another good reason to choose her.
I don't need to 6 CE this node.....but it would be good to learn. I bet there are some things in here that I don't know yet. Time to prepare for the future.
Every 90++ node is different These nodes are made to make you think and be creative. The higher investment each servant has (AKA grails, NP levels and golden fous) the easier they tend to be. Also, having niche support/dps-support servants comes in handy, like Ms Crane. Also, remember that sometimes 5 slotting 90++ might not be better than 6 slotting 90+, so you might want to check the drops for each event
Doing 6 slot is kinda crazy, since this is not a lotto, and we have so much time ( there is still more than 1 week left to finish the event and almost everyone have already finished it with 2 weeks left) I think most people should look into the 5 slot comps
I was doing np1 AT:Earth for 90+, before I saw a Bedivere comp. I dont have Oberon, so I decided to go with S.Jalter+2xKoyan which deals with the 3 waves by setting up her Crit/NP waves depending on card rng. Also using the card shuffle mystic code to help consitency. Its 5-slotting b/c dmg CE and has about 80% consistency with 3Turning.
*since the waves are dealt with adaptively, I can't set up FGA which is unfortunate. Tho I just recently came back so the burnout hasn't set in yet. Also since the comp only consists of 3 seevants I can slot whoever for bond gain which is neat.
Great vid, unfortunately I can’t follow any of these example comps. I do want to note that my NP1 Dioscuri was enough to 5CE this node with the help of Append 10 Castoria. If you can find some luck with your Friend support Castoria who also has Mana Loading at 10, pretty sure it would be more than enough dmg for Enkidu on wave 3. (And yes this involves the help of Oberon and Order Change)
@@PsuNotPsu I myself got NP2 Ibuki (was very lucky) and that's definitely enough: the way NP levels work in FGO is by halving the gap between your previous NP damage and NP5 damage, so at NP2 your are already at the halfway point between NP1 and NP5! Most aim for NP3 since you are at 3/4 of the way and extra NP levels don't net you enough damage compared to the Quartzs cost (respectively 1/8 and 1/16 of the gap between NP1 and NP5). PS: keep in mind that for lv90++ we need to level up different servants in our roster, we won't rely on a single omni-farmer. With that said, Ibuki is fantastic for multicore too, so she is definitely gonna shine again (very soon)
5 slot comps are good enough. Mostly due to the amount of runs needed to clear the ladder being roughly the same to the amount of runs needed to clear the shop with a 5 slot comp.
@@tsonic73 more like for lv90++ nodes we need meta support AND meta dps at high NP levels, that's end-game farming after all. PS: skills are always assumed at lv10, but those only affecting damage can be left at lv9 if short on lores or QPs, you'll probably only get a bit of RNG for cards depending on your comp
@Silverfox-volpeargentea true, but these nodes call for crazy dps numbers to one shot the multiple health bars they come with, having the skills maxed out reduces the cool down times to use them again a bit faster, the meta supports are needed becasue they're meta lol you can't beat them without them, and black grail cause this is the only CE with the highest NP damage %(atleast for now lol) but if i can be honest with you, i don't like "meta" in every case because you're locked into this play style and everyone will do it, no creativity no difference, sure you can use a dps servant no one really uses but the meta is still required, if you get where I'm coming from
