Morning Tim, I always feel cheated when your videos end. The editing, descriptions and also the CD packages were super once again. The Gabriel would look nice on the top of a shelve. Thanks for sharing them all and have a fun filled holiday weekend~ Rob/Boston
I have that Blues Explosion CD, I'm a big fan of the band. I totally didn't get the concept though and thought wtf?! about the staples when I bought it ha! I just checked my copy and I must have painstakingly pulled them out because I didn't 'damage' the case that much at all! Love your channel btw, fascinating stuff! - Puss
R. Ring sounds great. The dollhouse is adorable. You know, that Erasure CD is actually a good idea and compromise - Big cover art, yet if it was all digital, might as well be a CD and you don't have to squint.
The dollhouse one reminded me of Dan Deacon's Bromst, which comes with a relatively standard insert that encourages you to cut it up and tape it together into a tent like the one on the album's front cover. It's not quite as ready-made or specially manufactured like any of the more complicated releases here but still a cool little thing to toss in there. I believe the last step is "ACTUALLY DO THIS!!!"
Amazing stuff like always, will you also show that pill-style package for Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space? That and a Pizza box-stlye album by Die Ärzte is all the unusual CD packages I have.
you should check out MGMT's Congratulations. The deluxe edition CD came with a custom designed coin and the cover is scratch off. The first pressing of the vinyl is also scratch off but the coin is only included in the CD. Also in case you didn't know MGMT had a split seven inch with Spacemen 3 and Spectrum from the record label Great Pop Supplement. The catalogue number is GPS 100. The packaging is very interesting and unique.
Interesting stuff as always man. Keep up the project. Waiting for the next video, excited to see some interesting unique CD's. Vinyl or CD's just keep making videos.
hey i finally learned how to pronounce Devotchka after butchering it in 2 of my videos lol, thanks! I seriously don't know how you find out about all these cool things, but it's pretty damn impressive. I think I now know what you were looking for from The Czech Republic haha, but with you who knows, it could be something completely different, but that is one hell of a DVD package! I have a cool and limited CD / book release from WWW from the Czech Republic that my friend Jan sent me, I'll have to show you that. As usual an amazing collection of stuff. Your videos rock man. Thanks and I look forward to #3 & 4 soon(ish). Took me a while to respond because I had to find my dictionary to look up the word "detritus". Thank you for expanding my vocabulary.
+VinylCollector James ha. I'm not sure *I'm* pronouncing it right. lol. Thanks, as always, for the kind words. You are always a good guy. And your videos rock!
Never let the bastards wear you down! Haha! Just kidding. I love vinyl, but CDs are just as viable a media and in some cases sound better than the analog vinyl records. Very cool packaging. I've been thinking of doing a video like this as well with unique CD packaging.
+Scott Waters (ultmetal) - I have at least two more coming. Some of the coolest ones are in the last videos. If you have any suggestions, let me know! thansk!
That Peter Gabriel Steam album reminds me of a game by DID Video Game EUROFIGHTER 2000 EVOLUTION which had a strange patch disc which installed TATCOM and also had some music on it.
Give that Tool album a listen. It's great

Plus, with some elastic bands you can use the Tool 10,000 days album as a (relatively awkward) Google Cardboard
lol
Your presentations are so well thought out.
+dereckvon thanks, man. It was fun to show that last one. Thanks for letting me borrow it!

My favorite was 10,000 Days
Wait till you see what they did for their newest album

+randall rohr - Oh, I have seen that one. I missed on the vinyl and need to find one that hasn't been damaged on the cover. Thanks for the reminder!
Glad I could help!
Loved the pop-up ones, especially that epic last one :D another great vid, look forward to the rest!

Great video as always!
Kinda disappointed that the Erasure release didn't feature robot unicorns though...
+KaeptnBlaubaer Lol
I never heard of these artists!
Really insane cool items Tim :)
+My Analog Corner - Carsten Olsen - thanks, man.
glad to see another video of yours in my sub box!
+GhettoCabbage - yay! Enjoy. Hopefully another coming next weekend
Really cool.
Tool: I bought this strictly for the design
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy:
@2:40 You can see it in stereo, cross your eyes.
+GOZERS DEN
The CDs stored in Vinyl packaging is so unnecessary😂
These albums doesn't make any sense except Peter Gabriel and Ryuichi Sakamoto!
