Yep… 300WSM has been my fave for Moose/Elk since 2012. I am getting 3060fps with 175gr Barnes LRX and H100V 24” barrel loaded well below max. Folks are struggling to get 175gr bullets to 3000fps with hot 7PRC loads. This is a task perhaps better suited for the old wizzum which achieves it with relative ease… and most notably with approximately the same powder charge weights as the 7PRC and thus the same recoil… but with all the advantages of a short action. 300WSM is an insanely efficient cartridge. Cheers!
Me gusta mucho reformar mis propios cartuchos, esa RCBS Rock Chuker es una excelente prensa, yo yrngo la RCBS Jr..!! El 300 WSM es un excelente calibre..!! Excelente video..!!
One of the most underrated cartridges out there. Then sometimes not even put in the conversation. Please tell me what there is absolutely not to love about it.
A cartridge so good the competition had to make a direct alternative mere weeks after launch and even a lawsuit couldn't kill the cartridge Btw 300WSM shot a record group 10 shot group at 1000 yards....... multiple times.......one was with this exact bullet 210 Berger VLD.....im expecting good things
Hopefully you can do some real world results with 165gr ttsx bullets with h4350 or hybrid 100v, reloading componets are hard to come by and expenciave here in canada and those are the 2 powders I've been able to get. Looking forward to seeing your results , what's not to like about the wsm line of clambering very efficient good brass life and easy to load for , I shoot both 300 & 270 wsm just recently aquired the 300, and have switched to barnes ttsx bullets exclusively , mainly due to the sub moa accuracy I've been able to get with just a simple ladder test not changing anything from the barnes manual but the powder charge, not to mention I had great results on deer with .277 110 gr ttsx from 270 wsm
You need to clean the inside 🎉the case neck with a Q tip to get the case lubricant out of it for the same case neck tension, and then tap the case upside down to remove any brass particles.
I agree ☝️ 210 grain is a bit too much for the .300WSM , neck is too short and anything more than 190 grains is consuming case capacity. But , to each his own though.
@@NorthwoodsNomad 300 WSM holds record 10 shot groups at 1k one with this very bullet and another with an even heavier bullet In terms of energy it's getting better performance then pretty much anything else short action and only the big super magnums can truly out do it a measurable amount
@@theprfesssor Hey that’s awesome ! I personally haven’t shot at those distances since I was competitively shooting in n the 82nd ABN DIV back in 1987-91…. And I certainly wouldn’t attempt taking any game animals at distances beyond 500 yards ( not at my age now at 60 ) but I’m not discrediting the ability of the .300WSM , just stating the optimal performance necessary for most ethical and practical hunting distance, the 165 -190 grains are more than effective enough to get the job done providing the flattest trajectories and least hold overs ( at the specified distance as I stated out to 500 yards ) Furthermore, realistically, my .30-06 loaded with the right loads is plenty enough for taking elk out 500 even 600 yards .
No way in Alaska. I lived there for 5 years. I carried a 300 win mag with 200gr partitions. If i stayed i was gonna get a 375 h&h and use 300gr bullets. I was on the coast with those giant brown bears though
@@ReloadingWeatherby that's good to hear! I remember seeing a video of someone reloading one time and you could hear the powder crunch as they were seating the bullet.
I got a 300WSM reamer made where my 210 Bergers are seated long like a PRC. Need a long action of course but now I'm close to 2900fps with it. 69.6 grains Re22 and still no pressure

Awesome video, would be cool to get some 7mm WSM action on the channel after all the 7mm prc craze, don’t see much on the WSM on TH-cam

Going to love this. Been looking at getting one for a while.

Satisfying process on a satisfying cartridge
Thanks for watching
Love this cartridge

Something about the lines in this round, pleasing to the eye!!!
I like 165s or 180s for Alaska. I need more distance capability

This will be great!!
I would like to get into reloading. Will you post a link to all the things you use please and thank you.
Oh man I'm excited to see how that burger does
Should be tasty
Ooooh Ahhh Berger Bullets. The 🦄
Whats your velocity w that load?
2800 FPS
Nice!
H1000 for the win. I like 4831 but have just had better luck with H1000 in all my rifles
I haven't had good luck with H1000. All of my rifles like H4831SC
@@ReloadingWeatherby that’s pretty funny lol 😂 save all the H1000 for me🙏
There is no reason for 210 grain. What twist?
1in10 twist. It shoots this bullet almost Half MOA at 2800 FPS
@@ReloadingWeatherby at 300-400 yards?🤔
I use IMR powder
A 210 in a 300 WSM? I'm sure that's not in the powder column at all 😂
Not as bad as you think

Never heard of a compressed load? Normal procedure for many…

Wouldn’t matter if it was in the powder column. That happens all the time.
Always out of stock
I use 7 SAUM for elk. Amazing round for sure.
