So Hyang does ALL her own arrangements. She is just a truly wonderful person in all aspects.She doesn't seek fame & fortune but it is just a shame that she is not famous all over the world,her talent certainly deserves it. Those of us that have been lucky enough to discover her via TH-cam should count ourselves blessed but can you imagine if there was no Internet,no one outside S.Korea would have any idea that such an amazing singer existed & that would,in my opinion,be a crime against humanity.Although I want the world to hear So Hyang sing,I must admit that the fact that she doesn't seek fame & fortune just adds to her beauty
True. Saw a very fascinating video from a Korean TV show where they visited her and her family (husband and inlaws) in her home. Completely baffled by how self-deprecating she was. She was the house wife when they were home as well. Guessing it also has to do with Korean traditions, but WAUW!
She is the most emotionally expressive singer...she packs more emotion in one song than most of us experience in a month.

The voice of the must be an angel sent from heaven.
So hyang arranged this,as she does with all her performances. FYI she was advised by her doctor not to sing in this particular show as she was still recovering from pneumonia (she does have a big problem with her lungs,not too good for a singer eh!). Many people who have been watching So Hyang for quite some time may think the same as myself in that even with make-up etc she looks rather tired,she looks a little guant in the face. God only knows what the performance may have been like if she had been well! She later said how hard it was for her and she was absolutely exhausted but she had been so excited about singing this particular song to the audience that she didn't want to miss it. BTW the more western looking guy that the camera kept going to was Shane Filan,the lead singer with the band 'Westlife', who themselves had a massive no1 hit in the UK & most of Europe with the same song. He told her that her performance made the hair on the back of his neck stand up & that he would be happy to listen to it again & again,it was his new favourite version of that song. Great reaction once again to so hyang,so genuine. When I watch you reacting to her I think thats what I must have looked like when I saw a particular performance of hers for the 1st time (& the 2nd,3rd,4th..........10th). I hope you go away and watch this on your own,without pauses,so you can enjoy it to the max. Keep up the,good work & pls pls pls react to performances of 'lean on me' & her masterpiece 'everyone'

Her arrangements are collaborations with the director and the other musicians according to what she has said in an interview.
I guess I should say that it is a collaboration between her, the director and the musicians.
The way she put it, is that they all happily collaborate together.
She sang beautifully. Indescribable feeling that make you feel good.
Like you said, So Hyang is a beautiful singer. She is humble in nature and sings primarily for God and doesn't sing for money or fame. Most of the songs she chooses to sing other than gospel misic are the ones that give comfort or hopes to the audience.
For your information, she was suffering from pneumonia when she was on this stage performing 'You raise me up'. Her doctor advised her not to sing or even speak, but she pushed ahead with the performance anyway.
By the way, I saw your reaction video of So Hyang singing "I have nothing" before it was deleted. If possible, I would like very much to ask you to edit and reload it because I think we music lovers can learn so much from your reaction of it. Thank you.

I've watched the whole episode where she performed this on, and after her performance, when she was speaking and giving her comments, you could hear the sickness in her voice. Like, it's not the sound of a hoarse voice after giving it all out on a performance, but it's the sound of giving it all out with a sick voice. That's what I truly love Sohyang for. She sang this arrangement of You Raise Me Up once during a concert, stumbled upon the video on TH-cam. She clearly was sick as she had some pitch issues, more fragile voice, and she cracked her voice but it was still a very very good performance. Goes to show how great of a vocalist she is, and how great of a person she is to give in to her loyal fans' request. She's the best.

I still can’t believe that she was told by her doctor not to be speaking much less singing before she went on to perform this. Also her musicality is absolutely amazing, her covers are never just a simple karaoke cover, she makes the song her own and arrange sit to perfectly compliment her voice.

I'm a pro musician and Ihave to say So Hyang is by far my favourite singer her pitch, note length, range, dynamic's, breathe controll, emotions, resonance she has it all simply amazing for me she is THE BOSS.
I don't mind at all with many pauses. It's better to than having no video at all. Feel free to use pause in order to avoid the copyright police.
As for the song, I liked it (Josh Groban's cover in particular) at first. But, same as you, I also felt I've heard the song way too many times. I was glad Sohyang introduced a fresh new take, her own. I absolutely 💗 the beginning. Hers is what I imagine what angels would sound like. The beginning part alone made this performance my top 5 pick for Sohyang's best performances.

MBC is usually the one that issues strike. KBS might block. If you dispute it, they will normally let you broadcast.
Another way to overcome copyright issue is to cut the picture part of the video periodically. That was what I heard from some reactors. Audio is most important and picture is secondary.
I got goosebumps again this morning thanks to you. Can't even guess how many times I've got chilled while listening to this song. She performed this song in an amazing way while she had serious pneumonia; God made that possible.

Celtic influences here was a tribute to Shane Filan of Irish Boy Band `Westlife` fame, who originally sang this lovely song. The camera flashed onto him multiple times, and he has a great Pop voice too, though not close to being in SoYang`s league, but then, very few are !! The song was composed and written by a Norweigan and Irish duo.
