Awesome to see a bunch of clean cut pros getting it down clean and fast with no sht talking and bs absolute pros and what I aspire to be that’s how ya get the jobs gotta carry yaself right and present yourself the right way I have guys in my crew that are slobs I would love to work in a crew with pros that just focus on the work in front of them instead of complaining about the job and what not
Yes,did a room that had old ceiling that had been replaced years ago and never straightened so when i was called to do walls only i had to use metal internals as the ceiling was never battened out straight and had bulkheads all round so plenty of prep work
Been using hawk and trowel for years for drywall. Hate using a pan knife. More people in the US are going to this method getting away from the pan. Curious if Australians always use hawk and trowel or switched over from pan and knife? No tape on beads? No problems with cracks later? I always use tape, takes a little longer but no cracks. Purchased two different new homes where tape wasn’t used on corners. Within a year tapers and painters were back fixing cracked beads all over the house.
depends, doesn't mean it was because there was no mesh tape, in this video there is mesh tap on the corners, we don't have problems with cracking here doing it this way. If there was, we wouldn't do it
We don't use clunky light cans and switch boxes, and we don't cut out as we go. Switch plates are fixed to studs at rough in, lights are loose cables, and electricians cut out exactly where they need to according to finished surfaces.
Well now that Videographer sure is a hard pusher working his crew hard like that on a Sunday morning down there! Just saying lol ... Good operation. -Bob...
Carpenters suck lol 😂 don’t worry they suck here in America too . Framers suck then the board hangers suck too they follow the bad framing and don’t say anything to the framer to fix it .
This "pro" took twice as long to run this corner bead , than it should have taken. If u cant run an 8' stick of corner bead in less than 1 min .... u need to sit in the truck and leave it to the real pros
I’m willing to bet you $1000 that your finishes don’t look anywhere as sharp and clean as these guys. Willing to put your money where your mouth is, boy?
@@latinprince896 Boy ? I been finishing drywall for maybe longer than u have been alive , Junior.... 43 years and YES I am VERY willing to take that bet =)
@@-lost514 it's been a year and no video of you showing these guys up tough guy... you didn't put your money where your mouth is boy. 43 years? maybe 43 days!

This guy has serious skills, well done. I would wear a drywall gangsters T Shirt

trowel sounds so honed on edge of Hawk-nice one!
Nothing beats the sound of abrasive on hawk+trowel.
haha the guys talking conor vs khabib rematch in background lol
What size trowel is preferred?
good job
I haven't seen a switch or receptacle. Are they still using candles in Australia?

Bad ass my brother RESPECT

Good crew give you that looks like you only two coat external angles ??
Really is that normal
no it gets 3 coats
I was wondering what brand of tools these guys were using, hawks and trowels .....?
Wallboard magnesium hawk I think and the trowel is a Marshalltown trowel. We use all types of brands we use intex trowels for last coat on beads
@@drywallgangsters thanks, I have Nela trowels and magnesium hawk made by kraft
Still using metal beads?
Where are you from brother how much payment per day
So why are there gaps in the ceiling cornets
They are going to put cornice or crown moulding. Or whatever kind of trim in name.
Why do you hold your trowel backwards?
That way of holding the trowel started with Masonry (stucco outside of houses)
@@michaelstrait5576 it's also easier to hold the hauk and trowel in 1 hand when need be
Do the Gangsta's have hand tools Brands of choice or just whatever?
Just whatever we need don't have a brand choice we just get the type of stiffness we want no matter the brand and try it
@@drywallgangsters For the first coat do you use a stiffer trowel than for the finishing?
@@pawelkulak7133 yes stiffer for first coat definitely
Tell me What is trowel brend name?
Marshalltown
are these inside corners metal?
yea, he explained that. ive never seen but i imagine them being rounded inside.
They are paper tape. Please watch from the beginning has all the taping and everything
@@Maxkil on 12:09 he mentioned the inside corners are metal. finished with a 4 and 6 inch knife.
I hate you guys. You make me fell so slow 🤣

Guy is good but should keep his bucket of mud closer to him. IMHO
lol they all take from the same bucket... if he moves it closer to him than the other guys have to walk further...
