I am in a bortel 4 and I started using the Optplong L-Quad filter and a 3d printed adapter. I disable the internal filter and what a difference it makes.
Are the pictures on the map always shown or only if the Seestar is on? I guess you would have also had to publish (uploaded) the photo, it’s not like anytime you’ve taken a photo other people can see it, correct? I live in a class 5 area and I’m pretty impressed with the few images I’ve taken over the 4 nights even with a nearly full moon.
The light pollution map can be used at any time, even when the Seestar is off. However, any imaging you do will only appear on the map if you upload it to the 'Community' tab. Otherwise, your pictures will not be on there.
