I used to work with extruders like these from 96 to 2004 in Western Sydney Australia. Making food wrap-cling film.
I work at a plastic manufacturer but I dont mess with the machines. I'm a packer at the end of the line. Winder rolls it up and I put it in a box lol Sometimes they do mess up though like if the winder stops and to keep it from rolling up you have to pull the plastic while the operators get it put back together and fed back through. Then you have a massive pile of plastic to pick up and scrap.
Handel goes well with extrusion.
That's one job I do not miss.
I've worked on blown film lines that you had no choice but to climb on the die to tie the poly. Miss my job.

I'm a master at making drawstring trash bags, same as this but bubble it's from 15in to 39in. i can get my own machine up no help just my packer pulling the rope while I work the controls then I have to go 3 stories up and cut the air out of the film so my downstream won't have any wrinkles for smooth seals and quality product.
Stephane cote how much u get paid the hr for operate those machines????
i"ve been working also in flexible packaging, we do have a 2 big blown film line running at 500 kg/hr with 500mm die diameter, 3-layer extruders 55/90/55, 2350mm web width .. by how much will be the salary if i work with you as operator/technician of that big blown film line?

This is a nice machine but i operate 5 machines alone like this one and they are awesome.
impossible this is over 3500 pound every hour 5 of them is bull shit you run something like a 63 or 69 witch is around 300 to 500 pound hour for each machine this is a 495 around 7 time more if you really run one of them you no that you can loose your trim or knife any time you need someone to take care of the roll unless your job is juste to push the button it is impossible your full of shit

Same here in germany, a good worker can start a machine like this himself, even the big ones. No idea why they need like 7 people for this.
