    DAAAAAAAAANG Michael!!! Way to make me instantly hungry with that slow pan over pizza shot, not to mention the top down shot right after. Now I need some pizza. Great video and shots as always. Have a great rest of the week, and can't wait to see what you capture next for the next video. 😊

    I couldn’t figure out how I missed this video, then I realized that 11 months ago I was hospitalized having surgery. Good video by the way. I am thinking about getting the XF30 for sometime now, the XF80 that I have is really great (on a tripod), but too big/heavy (cumbersome) for me to walk around with.

      Hi Enrique! Better late than never, and hope all is well. The 30mm is a really fun and functional lens. Hope you have a great week!

    Just did this today! I had a few lenses in my bag but my friend suggested just using the 30mm. It's really a blast to do. First time out is a learning experience, discovering what does and doesn't work. I mostly treated the x-h2 + 30mm as a point and shoot but set to 5.6.
    It would be nice if Fuji would give lenses with an A ring priority. This lens can be set to auto or manual aperture, but unless the *camera* is set to aperture priority, the lens setting is ignored. What we need is to be able to use, say, shutter priority and ALSO the lens' set aperture. As it is, we now get either/or:(
    The 30mm will fast become the go-to first prime lens for Fuji users IMHO. Can't wait to combine it with the x-s20:)

      Hi! That’s so cool. Glad you had a good time. You can get shutter and aperture set manually and then have auto iso by camera to accomplish the setup you want 😉

      @@MSladekPhoto Will try to optimise my settings for the 30mm. F2.8 isn't ideal for many situations. Maybe park it at f5.6?

    Does this lens perform well in xt30 II?

    • @MSladekPhoto
      @MSladekPhoto  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! I have not used the X-T30ii except for a few demos in store, so I do not know specifically how the XF 30mm macro works on it. But, I know the size and weight will pair well with the X-T30ii and the autofocus should also work well on this camera. Cheers!

    WTF! Just looking at reviews of the Tamron 18-300 that does macro at 1cm from lens! Have you seen/ used one?

    • @MSladekPhoto
      @MSladekPhoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I had the chance to briefly try the Tamron 18-300 at Kenmore Camera. Yes, it focuses insanely close, but I think that's at 18mm, if I remember correctly, so it's kind of weird perspective. Also, it's a pretty big lens, with no aperture ring. Also, since I have other lenses in this range I'm happy with, not a great fit for me. But, if I had no lenses, would be really tempted to look at it more thoroughly. Cheers!
