Just The Sweetest scene of you and your family decorating the tree Lindsay!🎄🫶🎄 Thanks for sharing and dinner looked Absolutely Delicious!🤤🤤 Have a Great weekend Dear!🥰🥰
Don’t know if you have an Ikea close by or if they deliver in your area but they have some thin, cotton washable rugs that are to be used with a pad underneath. I was just looking at it for my kids’ playroom ☺️
Hello Lindsay! Hope you are all doing well. So nice to see the whole family decorating the tree. It brought tears to my eyes because I miss my boys at those ages. The tree turned out beautiful. I took a screenshot of the cake recipe. It sounds delicious. My youngest son became an Eagle Scout. It wasn’t easy but he loved doing it. I’m still so proud of him. I was a brownie and Girl Scout. I’m glad Audrey is an Ember! Have a great weekend ❤
@@melaniemurphy2429 thanks Melanie, there is something special about decorating the tree together. The dusting of snow made it even better. I hope you try the cake, it's really good. That's so neat that your son became an eagle scout! I loved Brownies as a kid, it was so much fun! Have a great weekend! ❤️❤️
Those little Christmas mugs are so sweet! I also really loved Ginger's dog bed-very pretty. Such a nice video and as I watched your whole family decorate and that big grin of Emily's at the end-just so serene and sweet! Then the wonderful snowfall. This is something that you could look back on in years to come. Your gumdrop cake looks divine as does your supper. I've been meaning to buy egg rolls-my husband said he prefers them to spring rolls but I can never find them. Enjoy the festive season with your adorable family. p.s. super jealous of your fireplace-is that wood burning? Growing up we had a wood burning fireplace and I dream of having one again one day
@@lilyelizabeth9080 thank you, Lily! These are such wonderful memories and we decorated the tree on the perfect night with that dusting of snow!! Gingers bed is actually covered in a pillowcase! Lol she was trying to eat the stuffing. We enjoy those egg rolls from Walmart. Our fireplace was a real wood burning fireplace, but we put a pellet stove insert in it. So we still get the coziness of wood burning, but not as messy. Thank you for you nice comment, have a lovely weekend.❤️
Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Such beautiful memories 💖 ❤️ 💕 ♥️ Santa Claus parades, Christmas trees, and baking. Great traditions. I'm sure your loaves are delicious. I'm making banana bread with milk chocolate chips tomorrow , shortbread cookies, and gingerbread men. The tree is up. Your tree is beautiful🎄 ❤ That's a nice washable rug but yes it's very light. I love having an area rug also. Any snow yet? It went down to -13 overnight. It's-6 right now at 11:35 am. Quite a bit of snow. Wishing you all a good weekend. 😊❤
@@canadiankabingurl9782 thanks Dyann! I've been thinking about you guys. ❤️ I hope you're all doing okay. I thought the rug was pretty, but definitely too light! I ordered a darker one, so we'll see. Banana bread with chocolate chips sounds yummy! I haven't done any other baking yet, I'm feeling really unprepared. No snow for us! And the high winds keeps knocking our decorations down outside. We had that dusting and then it was gone. It was 14° on Thursday, but cooler today. It currently feels like - 8°. Hope you all have a cozy weekend! ❤️
I love that you put Daisy’s ornament on the tree. I put ornaments for my cats that have passed away and of course Senya’s, my cat. When I put the tree up last night I was very surprised at how many she has. ❤️
I loved watching the family decorate the tree, what a great thing to do as a family, and the parade looked like fun too. Your cakes looked delicious, my husband would love them. I'm doing much less baking this year, but I am going to make about 4 batched of microwave peanut brittle, it's so easy and it turns out delicious. We will keep one batch and give away three of them. I'm also going to make a batch of seasoned crackers, and perhaps a batch or two of muffins for Christmas day. I used to make tons of candy and such, but we just really shouldn't eat it, and the kids don't want it, so I stopped, though they all love the brittle. Thanks for taking us along with the family time, I really enjoyed it. Have a lovely weekend, and also thanks for sharing the snowy pictures with us and the little bit of Ginger.
@@TheMtggrl Thanks Tania, it's always so nice to decorate the tree as a family and that dusting of snow made it even better!! Your cakes and tree look great! I've made shortbread cookies, peanut butter blossoms, white chocolate cranberry cookies and almond biscotti. I still have Jennifer's Winter Bark to make. I just love the little Christmas mugs, they are so festive. We have a special ornament for our Riley who we lost a few years back, I even place it so I can see it from the spot on the sofa where I sit most often. They never leave our hearts.

I was curious so I looked it up to see if embers is similar to the Girl Scouts here in the states. From what I was reading, it was changed to embers to be more inclusive. Basically so girls of color wouldn’t feel like they were being singled out by the name brownies. Our Girl Scouts here in the states have brownies but I don’t know if they changed that our not since I have a boy. My son is a scout in what is now Scouting America, formerly known as Boy Scouts. The name change for the Boy Scouts goes into effect in January as Boy Scouts is now coed. My son’s troop is a boy/girl troop. Love the opening with everyone watching the parade and the kids decorating the tree, but Emily staring out the window, watching the snow….thats pure holiday magic. I love the feel of the small town home parades. We just had our city one today (Dec. 14th) our parades are about 2 hours long and have bands, dance schools, of course Girl Scouts and my sons scouting America troop. They are too over done and way too long. Yours seems to be the perfect parade 💕💕💕. Hope Jacob is feeling better. The cakes looked amazing.
