MALABA ONE STOP BORDER POST TRANSFORMS REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE

The new malaba one stop border post bridge has eased the flow of inbound and outbound cargo traffic.
To be officially commissioned early next year, the bridge the parking area, access roads and the electronic cargo clearance systems have enabled the clearance of at least 1200 inbound trucks per day.
However as Dennis sigoa reports, the new developments have had a negative socio-economic impact on the border community who benefited immensely from congestion and manual clearance systems.

I still have to try to cross via Malaba. I have always been using the Busia crossing. Feeling relieved whenever I am home in Uganda again!
