- The Platinum DLC Expansion was released today for ALL platforms! With the release of this DLC i began looking all over the internet to find joystick controls that would work good for excavators IN GAME and i couldn't find anything! So i began playing around with all of the controls until it felt right! In this video i show you what i found so that hopefully you won't have to struggle the way that i did to get your joysticks set up properly!

I got my sticks to play flight sims but recently remembered how much fun I had at work one day when I got to operate a small backhoe. Now I've been scouring the internet for games that would recreate that fun and Farming Simulator looks perfect. This is a great help and I will definitely check out your other videos

Just switched from one stick and the side panel to two sticks. My keybinds are a mess now, going to have to reset all of them. Thanks for this, gives me a good start.
this is so nice with the diwangus joystick mounts to lower the joysticks below the desk if you want to continu with mouse + keyboard on PC after logging for some time

Its possible to make the same configuration on ps5 and steam deck ?
I love both of the videos for the Thrustmaster Joysticks. Have you tried the FDR logging and incorporated it with what you did here and your other video to see if there is any conflict. I as I am not sure if I'd have to clear out the mapping for FDR also a player wouldnt have to decide ok I am going to do base game vrs FDR. Just wondering your thoughts on this.
So in my experience you do have to choose between using FDR mods or using other logging equipment! FDR could have started modding his equipment differently so that it does work with in game equipment controls but i do not believe he has. FDR has youtube videos for setting up controls with his mods though. It would be awesome if these controls just worked for everything but they unfortunately won't work on FDR mods!

Does the game support two joysticks without needing an outside program? Also will two joysticks work with the logitech side panel?
Yes the game supports joysticks without needing an outside program! I use Thrustmaster T16000M's and all i had to do was plug them up into a USB port!
As far as being able to use joysticks with a side panel also, i am 97% positive that you are able to do this! But you're going to want to remove all of your side panel controls for your wheel loaders and excavators
du you use a usb hub to connect Dual Joystick

Sorry for the late response! But as long as you dont reset your key bindings then this will work on all maps!
I just want say thank you so much for sharing this valible info tutorial my first time I use joystick make live much more easy I wish could give more than one thumbs up the only issues I have in the game self when turn the sreerting of the tree hawerster for exampel it turn by it self auto again stright line by keyboard bottum if turn there it stays by the turn positions that is how I want it I can't figure out how to adjust that setting

I am having the same issues with the steering not realigning! As far as I know there is no way to fix that other than to not use the joystick for steering and only use a steering wheel or your keyboard or controller for steering
what joysticks like ones in a excavator work on ps5? or whats an easier way to use the machines while logging
I am not sure if there are any dual joysticks that work on console or not! Would be awesome if there are though!
i take it your a backhoe operator or learned to use primarily SAE (aka Backhoe or John Deere) controls. ISO which is the standard for anyone interested is just flipped from what your showing left is stick and spin right is boom and bucket versus SAE which is left is spin and boom and right is stick and bucket. Just wanted to point that out .... that aside great video and keep up the good work! although curious why you set buttons for the open close tool (left and right on the right stick bucket controls)
Honestly not trying to be nitpicky i am just curious as i see questions all the time as to how to setup fs22 with real dual joystick controls. I am just curious as to why is all (curiosity might kill this cat someday lol)
I don't know much about machinery, operated an excavator once. But isn't their a switch on excavators to change the controls around?
euro controls are the same as you said kristlyn, truckcrane or exavator, is all the same, right is main boom and grapple, left is turning and second boom and so on
@@Matthewrandone maybe on the new ones I operated an older Komatsu PC130-8 , there are Cat Controls and John Deere the Komatsu I ran was using Cat Controls, John Deere ones are a PITA and I could never get use to them, I went to a excavator school 8 years ago and worked in a gold mine for a bit...
In Canada we use SAE for all of our excavators, not just for backhoes.
I presume there's no way to control tracks with pedals only? like a heel / toe operation for each track. Wasn't sure if Flight pedals could do that.
I don't believe there is a way to do that unfortunately!=
@@PrestigeOnYT buy rudder controls for a flight sim and set one to steer riggt and one to steer left.
@@zachfield5336 I had this same idea and while you could do that to steer left or right, it unfortunately would not work realistically so that you could push forward on both pedals to actually move straight forward!

is there a mod to remove the in game steering wheel? and adjust seat position?
sorry for the late response! I wish there was but unfortunately i have never seen a mod like that! I know for sure that there is a mod for PC users that can adjust your first person camera view, but nothing to get rid of a steering wheel!
do you your use foot pedals for moving the Machines .if please make a video on how you setup your foot petals for moving
I do use foot pedals because i also use a steering wheel with my setup!
You shouldn't have to do anything with those controls though, they should automatically be set up corectly!

@@GigiiSLO hmmm, update could have possibly messed with your controls or settings... in the main menu make sure you have wheels and game pads turned on! Follow the steps of the video and they should work!
I use the exact setup as you and when I’m on the map it scrolls out of control. Just wondering if you’ve experienced that as well?

When I’m in game and hit esc to view the map, the map scrolls out of control. It’s unusable. I just figured out why though. The slider on the joystick was set a bit too high and that was controlling the map to move around without touching anything 😂

I am not sure how some people do it! I actually don't have mine stuck to my desk. My joysticks just sit on my desk with nothing holding them down! I just don't get too aggressive with the sticks lol!
Which lowloader do you use in the video?
If you're talking about the low loader with the container on it then that is the trailer that comes with the Platinum Expansion DLC! It has a lot of purposes but biggest one is it can lock the containers in place if you get it loaded close enough on the trailer! I only use it for logging containers

unfortunately you can not use joy sticks on a mobile device!

I don't believe that you can on console! I have never seen console have any compatible dual joysticks!
On pc for sf22 how to set a x-box ?
Unfortunately you can't modify controls on console!
Hey does IT Work with Xbox Controller too on PC ? , the Default controls are very awfull , you cannot use both Sticks at the Same time ....
unfortunately i don't believe there is much you can do about the controls on consoles!

Sorry for the delayed respone! To my knowledge i don't believe that console has dual joysticks that work! So my best guess would be that you can't log with dual joysticks on console!
Can you use it on Xbox?
Unfortunately you can not! This is PC only!
Why does my track move when I swing ?
You may need to go to your main menu when you launch the game, go to your controller settings and increase your dead zones to 10 or 15%... The dead zone should stop the tracks from moving!
you have the lifts the wrong way around to a real one right stick is whats called a boom and your left is called a stick the stick is for extending boom is lift
there are two different configs in real life the one shown here is the less commen SAE config however most machines like your stated use ISO config
sorry, but you have swapped right and left. but fine it works for you. but you should tell it is not a set up like a real excavator.
This is the SAE controlls config, so yes it is correct however most machines use ISO configs which as you've partially stated have the boom and stick swapped
On farming sim 17 it has the real digger controls but not in fs 22 🤦🏼
