They for sure had different stops during their relationship development but this double "no chance/I tried everything" was the biggest one before their fight after indonesia for me. I feel like at that time they both were not as clear as they could have been while talking to one another, because I always had the impression that Engfa and Charlotte were like speaking different languages, which lead them to become unable to communicate even more than usual (and they were awfully bad at that to begin with) There was also the reality of too much stuff being dumped on them on a daily basis, lots of work, lot of hate etc, and most importantly Engfa was clearly depressed and Charlotte was dealing with severe anxiety and having panic attack disorder, so both their menthal health was in a downward spiral in that period of time. To me this external things were a big factor in their relationship reaching this very low point. Like they had too much going on that they both didn't had enough energy left in them to also add their own ambiguous relationship to it, so it broken.
