    It was aired on 07/24/1996. BTW. As a former Putin supporter, Valery Gergiev refused to comment
    on the Ukraine war and was fired as head of the German Philharmonic Orchestra in München.

    Valery Gergiev is one of the greatest musicians of our time. It was such a shame that the West politicalized music and Munich Philharmonic fired him because of the Ukraine war for which he has zero responsibility.

      My understanding is that Gergiev is a friend of and has supported Putin in his war against Ukraine. I think you'd have to say that you don't want to be partnering with a man who supports Putin's atrocities. Gergiev could make a great difference if he publicly came out against Putin.
