G'Day everyone :) I've pinned this comment to let everyone know that its been brought to my attention that I've buggered up, As part of the no netting program in Merimbula inlet, there is no Witches Hat crab pots allowed to be used in that water way. DPI has been in contact with me regarding this, and luckily for me I have been given an offical caution for my mistake. This is a really important reminder why we all need to double check the information provided by the DPI. The onus is always on ourselves to check all rules and regulation officially. Don't rely on public opinions. Honest mistakes, Honest solutions, Lessons learnt :)

Love this video…I grew up on the ocean in outport Newfoundland…about as far away from Australia as you can get…but the fishing. Mussels and beach combing were the same activities…although colder.

I can't believe the crabs weren't on. Looked ideal. Plenty of fish and those fat muscles were a bonus. Thanks for sharing.
Unfortunately the sting rays were just too thick and trashed the pots and baits before any crabs got in there, sure was good fun trying though 🍻😀👍

I can understand why you'd want to become a full time commercial crab trapper, what with your rod & reel skills not providing you with enough challenge. ROFL Wonderful flora, fauna and scenery as always during your jaunts. I've almost forgotten what it's like to be beside or in calm clear water on a warm sunny day.
