I'm pretty sure with how the dracs culture was that once the head council found out the urgently tried to get a cease fire, take accounts from the dracs he freed and tried to open dialog with Davidge and Sammies as soon as they could. GREAT movie!
Saw this movie on Film4 for the first time in about 10 years. They cut that corkscrew crushing scene out, and also the scene with Brion James falling in the hot molten metal. Maybe they thought those scenes were too violent for 8.00 pm?
I always thought that the main character was played by Sam Niel!!!???? But it was Dennis Quaid!? Never mind... I finally found the movie I was looking for! But I was just a kid when I watched this movie. And the scene I remember the most was when the slaver fell down into the grinding drill at 1:35. That scene caused several nightmares...

The dracs in general scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Especially the facial expressions of the two dead/dying dracs between 4:04-4;12

Pure Awesome
This movie is the perfect amount of sappy and just enough violence to not be overbearing for a female. This is one of my favorite movies.
Dracs don't have ears...don't forget that slave-whipper with the "eye" was cut up in that machine...
