“It’s 10. They start sprinting at 10.” is lowkey a terrifying line
As a side note, I really enjoy it when you dont label a video with days on it. It leaves a sense of creeping dread always wondering if at any given moment there will be a lethal slip up. Even just labeling it "Part One" makes me assume that clearly you did fine because there will probably be a part two. With the title just being the question we go in not already knowing the answer and I like that because it gets me more into the drama of the events that take place. That said, this is pretty cool. How bad are the roads going to be to drive on? I know that on cleared paths the saplings start growing in causing all sorts of issues after a couple months in a normal game.
i never really thought about this but i do appreciate that
In vanilla maps and supported mod maps there are trees of varying size in the roads, even more on what were once dirt roads. Having an axe on hand is a must and you should stick to certain roads for travel. A good tip is while you're driving, use the 'cut tree' function to be able to see where to trees are better as you're driving.
oh my god im glad you put it into words. all the other videos like this feel like zero tension because i know he'll die on the 100th day or whatever and everytime its really close on the 30th day i dont need to worry.
couldnt have said it better
That's true and its more unique and interesting than the usual 1 day / 100 day thumbnails everyone is sick of
Bro the Car Zone bit KILLED meeeeee
"...You know most of your audience is male..?"
*the cake thickens*
As the minority gender in this community I can appreciate the effort.
@@fujitsu-no And effort not wasted lol
The skits within these videos are always my favorite. It’s a great change of pace.
A workaround if u don't have gloves, equip ripped sheets in each hand, if you go to pick up broken glass.
Just in case you didn't know about it lol.
Good video, man!
Ohhh never knew you could do that!
Thanks for that knowledge!
Wow, thank you for the information!
I'll make sure to share this with others.
You can equip literally any object as primary and itll work
Whoa thanks man!!
lmao i genuinely learned something about gas siphoning. love the supplemental effort you put into your vids
Ironically, not a useful skill 10 years after. All liquid fuel (gasoline/petrol, diesel, Kerosene, etc.) in vehicle tanks would be long evaporated (and have gone bad before then). Fuel in underground tanks might still hold some liquid but it would have gone bad as the volatiles would have evaporated. Only liquid fuel in well-sealed drums and containers (like, completely sealed and never opened) would still be viable. As a rule, normal gasoline/diesel remains usable for about a year, max. 2-3x longer if treated.
@@helbent4 Alcohol - high percentage alcohol.
@@PhysicstIsaac That would erode all your seals and you would need to dump 40% more fuel into the engine for it to even start.
@@G-Mastah-Fash never said it wouldn't work 💪
Your face upon hearing the "You know most of your audience is male right?" and that "Ohhh alright." Kinda nod that you made was so good.
I love your skits so much
27:20 Ive found that annotated map before. That house just north of Kortmans, I found the guy in his washroom. Eventually was able to bury him like he wanted.
I’ve been wondering when we were gonna get a new upload. Amazing high effort quality as always. Your editing is always slick but not over the top.
Still also just throwing it out that I (and friends) would always be interested in watching you do some rimworld or oxygen not included playthroughs/stories in your legendary master story-teller style
Hey, i just wanted to say that your videos are incredibly edited and very entertaining, its honestly helped inspire me to keep working on my own projects. Thank you.
This guy makes some of the best PZ videos. I like the role playing and immersion.
The Car Zone bit was sooo gooood 😂 Love your Project Zomboid videos!
It's so good to see an upload from you, I always love how you format your videos with the voice over. I'm not sure how many of us there are but as a "lady" I enjoyed the skit 😂😂
This video has me fully intrigued into the series! Great job! And good luck Greta!
I like learning new stuff about zomboid from you, while being thoroughly entertained too :D
Empty bottles, syphon gas, get a generator and vhs tv and freezer, get exposure survival and a fishing book and that's always a good first start
gas expires after a couple of years
attention span do be spanning when a new Alex Phillips video appears
Wouldn’t 10 years make the zombies less efficient? I mean their bodies continue to decompose over time so things like stomping on its head whenever it hits the ground should be a one hit kill no matter your strength due to the weakened physical state of their bodies.
Yeah technically since their bodies would have been decomposed almost entirely by now or close to it.
I think maybe its a disease that stops all that? I mean technically the gas would have gone of by now too so cars and generators are a nope. Best to just accept it for what it is
Yes they would be a pile of dust with some teeth😅😅😅😅@@gta71000
Zombie movies always ignore that lol
Good point!! I never considered that
only disappointing thing is that there aren't enough videos on this channel. keep it up man!!!
Amazing video man, love all the edits and the voice over. Cant wait for the next video.
watching your videos feesl like watching a movie (a really good one, not some halfassed slop), the editing keeps me on the edge of my chair for the entire video its so tense and interesting, keep your amazing work bro
Finally not a 100 days challenge title for a Project Zomboid video.
I've seen too many titles like that then I could care for...
The BrainRot is healing!
Curious and ignorant, here- question! What's wrong with "100 days" videos? What makes them brainrot? Personally, im a big fan of long videos, so a 3/4hr 100 days video is right up my alley. If they continue and do 200 and 300 days videos, I'm elated!! What drives you away from something like that?
@ the titles are overdone, and also I think give away too much of the story away in the title!
The expression on CarZone Alex after realising his audience is mostly guys is fascinating.
Neat editing and storytelling! Fun to watch :D
Great video! Excellent editing and narration, and no meme BS. Gear!
Hey, Zomboid veteran with 2600+ hours - you can use a barbeque indoors, it wont burn down your base despite it being an "open fire". The reason is because its a solid object (unlike a campfire you can walk through). The spaghetti code works somehow
GG, mate. This video was really fun, definitely something different than what everyone else is doing. I liked your Dean-esque skit! Voted for your bird also. I highly anticipate a second episode, if it comes.
Great video as always, I love the narration and pacing. Keep it up!
Amazing video brother, love your editing can't wait for the next part
Babe wake up new Alex Phillips zomboie vid 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Man you just did my average muldraugh playthrough. I turn my main base into those two story houses, it only takes like 15 squares to close it in. You get a massive area. I keep building around it to secure from the dead spawning in. Eventually it isn't worth it to keep expanding and you just do repairs but it's a fun multi layered base run. I got my area big enough that the helicopter didn't even draw any towards me from the verge of my base
Your play-style would really benefit from noise makers and alarm clocks to rout zombies
You shouldn’t be attaching the negative terminal first. When jumping batteries, always attach positive first, and disconnect positive last.
OMG. fantastic presentation / voice / bit of story telling
Civilization totally reclaimed by nature is my favourite aesthetic.
Not always searching the ground when you were outside was what made this a lot harder.
Nice vid and a great watch as i love zomboid👍
Love this type of video thanks for adding to this type of content❤
This is the perfect combination of calming yet gripping, unhinged yet sensible. You've gained a subscriber.
😂😂😂😂
ngl that denim jacket look with the sunglasses really did the trick. I'm sure it'll pull plenty of ladies/lads
As a side note i like it when you show days and time, it gives a sense of the world growing and your adventure, where you been and the struggle, please dont remove the time, i like it when i know how many parts their is and which video is which
Ate this up girl
youtube recommending me some bangers today
I hope you come back more often
now THIS is quality PZ content
The real question is what all those zombies were eating for 10 years
I like to think that zombies attack and eat people out of scent and instinct and not for nourishment hence why they don't attack each other
@Eljugador130 yeah but what do they eat
Zombies don't eat people for nourishment, they're clinically dead. Their heart doesn't beat but their brain works, without any blood pumping around the body the digestive system will not be working so any eating the zombies do is purely out of instinct.
The reason I don't think about that is because the first shot out of the first gun I found would be going straight into my cranium (unless it's anything weaker than a 9mm Hollow Point)
I can't believe this. I just bought project zomboid today and I saw there was a debug tool.
I flew around the whole map and teleported to random places to figure out how the game works.
Later I saw that you could speed up time by a lot using the debug tool. I decided to just sit in a random building and go AFK while I set the speed up time to x1000.
I then decided to look up a video of someone doing the exact same thing. I saw your video and I was so shocked. You started your run in the EXACT same building I was while I was speed up the in-game time.
What a huge coincidence! What are even the chances?
Transition at 12:47 was smooth!
Love it. The algo gods gifted you to me. Please do a 7dtd series. I really like your style, and feel like 1.0 is kinda bereft of good narrative content creators. You have the big guns (neebs, glock, cap etc) but there hasn't been a content creator that builds tension and stakes like this in a while. I think it'd be refreshing. Just my 2 cents.
Edit - Holy shit. Just got to the short film segment. 😂Subbed for life
Wouldn't they all just decay to skeletons in 10 years?
21:51
"gotta go home" *creams*
This was so well written
Whats the modlist? Also 10/10 video
Definitely in Auckland due to the construction in the background 😅😅😢
I was looking for some PZ content the other day and found you. Due to the absolute creativity of your videos, I subbed. and I am one of those....'girl' gamers. Cute outtake ;)
The 10 year later mod looks nice, but only outside. Inside buildings doesn't make much sense, unless the building was also in a severely dilapidated state, with the roof collapsed and windows broken. But these look almost pristine if you ignore the greenery...
Lol that RL car sequence xDD
Now survive that same challenge with The Last of Us Infected 👀
As a not guy person, I enjoyed your car tutorial bit
13:28 my man types "generator" instead of using power icon 👌🏻
This world is already broken, there's nothing worth fighting for.
I disagree with half of what you said.
Babe wake up, new video is up
Babe wake up, it's been 10 years we miss you :(
nice good to see ya again
9:41 is that song ingame audio or added in post? ive never actually heard that song before
FINALLY ZOMBOID CONTENT YUMMYYY MM GIMME GIMME
Hi from far north Queensland Australia good video 👍
Any chance this was live streamed? I’ve been watching your old streams and they’re awesome! Nice to fall asleep to aswell lol. Would love to catch one
No sorry, it's been a while since I last did one but I'm keen to do more.
Man this game is SO DAMN HARD. I recently picked it up finally and yikes it's difficult.
Thank you for this video! ☺🌼🌼🌼
Bro, imagine a vr project zomboid but cut with like dying light mechanics, specifically the first game it had the best physics engine
Can you please give exact details on sandbox settings and used mods? I'd love to try this myself. And definitely hyped for a second episode
There's a link to a settings video alongside the modlist in the description. Lmk if it's missing anything you need. I also dropped the second episode the other day lol.
@@Alex-Phillips Wow, wasnt expecting such a fast reply! Just saw the second episode and Im really stunned by your quality and story-telling. Left a sub and two likes. Hyped for more!
Dang, you can fill my gas tank fr
Brilliant video, and now you can say that the car zone bit was found both funny and educational by a female 😂
After that bit i couldnt help laugh a bit to myself each time you had them at your butt, you did flaunt it at then after all 😂
Excellent production quality and sound choice, way too often do I watch these kinds of Let plays only for it to be ruined by an annoying Commentator or bad sound choice. A+ From me on this one!
How'd you get dirt with overgrowth on the roads? I've used 10 Years Later mod since it released & I've never had dirt on ths roads, just bushes and grass & that was with selecting 12 months after apocalypse
Can you please consider an idea of surviving insane population project russia? It would be so nice...
I've seen the mod and I'm definitely keen to try it out. I'm still working out the jist of winter survival 🥲
What are your settings for zed spawns and loot spawns?
I made a settings vid in the description flicking through them and quickly talking about issues I ran into.
10:42 making me crack up
oh my god more car zone plz
the laddies are begging
whats the song called when day 4 starts with the slide guitar?
You say how people think about the necessities but not the long term at the beginning.
I've always considered the long term first and foremost since you never know how long you'd be there, and planning ahead is crucial.
Do people really not think about the long term before everything else?
I GOT THE MINECRAFT MOVIE AS AN AD WTHHHH 😭
what are the odds of saying you need to find a battery for the truck and the ambulance right next to it had one with juice in it
What's you mod load order? or you just load all and that all?
Hey alex great video but can you please post a screenshot of ur ingame setting like the resolution and all please 😢
Ouuukeeey... But how did Greta survived that long? Was she part of a barricaded community for 10 years?
What song is that?
goat
How do you stomp without using your weapon? Is that a mod?
Nah, spacebar let's you shove/stomp rather than attack.
Ngl i wanna do playthroughs like this bit i have no idea how to play the game even tho i have it lol
Is this zomboid music? the background is so similar to twd s1
i try it but i dont know if is a bug but always spawn with 10 zomboid with me
Lol my base is right on that spot
Your steering wheel is on the wrong side bro
The cutting from stomping a zombie head, then stomping the heads of zombies that weren't even on screen before is kinda disorienting. I don't know what direction or distance you just traveled in the cut time.
I think… I think I love you
Isn't "feeble" < "weak" IRL???
Feeble = cobweb muscle and wasting away
Weak = skinny child, not built up
4:47 huh D:
