I got back from there yesterday, a wonderful holiday full of amazing varieties of food and colour. I loved every second and want to return there. The people are so friendly too ❤
Yes, indeed. It’s definitely one of my favorite Malaysian cities!
@@gibbontravelogue my head is still over there, I'm going to miss it so much 🥲
Where r u from? Hopefully Malacca is easily accessible to you.
@@gibbontravelogue I'm from England 😑 I returned to grey skies, rain and sleet..... I was sad to be back here again! Everybody was so friendly out there too, it's a bit of a reality check back here 🫣

Glad you enjoyed the video. Indeed. One of my favourite cities in Malaysia.
Nice, very informative!
Thanks Anthony! Hope to have more cameo appearances of you in my videos! 😂
You missed St Peter's Church (1710).... the oldest functioning church in Malaysia .. older than Christ Church. And you missed why St Francis statue was erected at St Paul's Hill... if you go in, you will see a metal caging with a large cavity... where the body of the saint was interned enroute from Japan to Goa as they needed to wait for the monsoon winds to change direction.
Wow, thanks for this additional info! Great to know. The next time I go to Malacca, will surely keep a lookout.
St Francis's right hand was cut down and sent to the Vatican. There is a legend that says a falling tree broke the right hand of the stature which coincidently mimics his body.
Hadir, nyimak
Well described
Thanks! Can’t wait to visit Malacca again. Really missed the food there.
You missed Kampung Morten...
Oh, thanks for letting me know. I’ll definitely give it a visit the next time I’m there!

Can you have a couple of beers in malaka
Of course you can! There are many pubs and restaurants all around Malacca that you can have more than a couple 🍻
@@gibbontravelogue it's so hot there though, I normally love a beer or three but opted for cooler drinks 😅😂
Malacca is known for their Chendol, dessert made up of red beans, jelly with shaved ice and doused in Gula Melaka. U will love it!
Stadhuys ? Is it pronounced as State House?
Thanks for watching. It’s Dutch and pronounced as Stad Hash. At least that’s what TH-cam tells me. 😅
Haaayaaa.. WTF.. so Melaka is a mixture of Chinese.. Portuguese and the Dutch.. so what happen to the Malays the Indians the Arabs and dozens of other race and nationalities..
Malacca is really like a melting pot of different cultures. Super multi-racial!
@@gibbontravelogue I was impressed by how well all the cultures mix, perfect harmony. The rest of the world should follow their example! 👍
