That sounds absolutely bananas, like straight out of a movie score! A variety from this patch will come extemely handy for my early stages of listenable stuff.
the state of the patch around 5:50 (before the supercell comes into play) is just about the best setup for a texture-y talking "neuro" bass I've seen (drop down to A3). Similar to patches you hear in Massive/Serum/Vital but more interesting movement with less fx. No notch or comb filters or stereo image stuff, just an EQ and modulation. It's really elegant!
This is incredible, with such low number of modules, beautiful. To start, I'd hate to build on it and "damage" these awesome sounds...... Yet, will try! Thanks Omri!
Love building these along with the tutorial, gives me more in depth knowledge and experience of a wider variety of modules. I was even recording my own birds in the spring time this year, which I've just used in the patch! Lush. Thanks for your time Omri.

@@faruambient Batumi is also on my wishlist. I guess that something you can experiment with is creating your own modulation sources by mixing LFOs, modulating them, sending them through VCAs, T&H, folders, mixing them with envelopes, and so on.

Like Instruo, Befaco, Lifeforms, Count Modula, etc etc. Idk, I think that'd be cool (and challenging!), seeing a whole patch of only one brand. Omri I have a patching question. How could you quantize pitch in such a way that the pitches used are different depending on the octave? I was thinking about making something using whole tone scale, which does not fit within the 12 tone scale, so I would need to have essentially an extended range quantizer that would alter the quantized pitches as the octaves ascend.
Well, the easiest would be to use a dedicated module. The VCV Scalar has this option so you can choose different notes for different octaves. There's also a free alternative from noobhour, the Customscaler.

Oh wow, that sounds like a great idea. If you end up recording something with it, I would love to have a listen! If you want to send signals back and forth, then the ES9 is for you. Even if you don't have any other modules, you can put it in a small case with power, and use it as an interface, having the ability to send CV and audio back and forth. If you already have an interface that has ADAT in and out, you might want to check out the new module from Boredbrain. It's basically an ADAT module that can send CV and audio via ADAT. Also here you don't need anything else but a small case and power. If you want something bigger, you can check out the Motu interfaces. They have DC coupled outputs so you could send CV out of them. In any case, if you want to send pitch, you will have to calibrate things and it might be a bit annoying...

There is this trick I love and use a lot as an alternative to Caudal : Tesseract with speeds modulated by 6 of its own outputs passing thru Cubic(s) to change shapes, it makes it go fast / slow And never repeats itself, it becomes this huge bank of LFOs that evolve together in an almost alive way. Is anybody doing that too ?
@@OmriCohen-Music I am sure you'll like it, with the right values in cubics parameters you get really funny behaviors, and tesseract has so much outs that it gives you all the modulation sources you need without having to use the same twice (well almost). @@joostvanbunnik7646 Yeah, exactly. What it says on the BogAudio module has no meaning if the oscillator is not tuned to C4. By default, most if not all oscillators in VCV are tuned to C4 so it works without the need to change anything.

Thanks! You can use the Vector Mix from HetrickCV, and combine it with the XY module from JW, or from VoxGlitch. Both can record movements :)

Yes, Tangents is number 1 :) All of the Vult filters are beautiful. I use also Freak a lot, which has all of them, and it's stereo.

Well, I played the flute on top, and the arp is coming from Interzone
18:4 _"You can add an arpeggio"_ - ok, but how was it created?
That's something for a different video :) But basically, I used Interzone as a voice, and the ARP from Hampton Harmonics.
