And they send me an e-mail that I got the job but the last thing which I need to do is to send them a photo of my passport by their crewlink e-mail. I did that but I have blurred my signature. They called me that they can't take this photo and I need to send them one without blurring if I want to get the job. Is it normal that they want a photo of my passport my an e-mail, especially if I can't blur anything?

Hey there, kind of stupid/ naive question. Is it mandatory to bring a laptop to the course? Do I need a PC for any of the course activities or correlated homework?
No you do not need to bring your laptop, but it could help. It helped me because I was able to reference/search the pdf study document they gave us. They pretty much give you all the study material you need. Just make sure you have notepads and pens.
I am really thinking about moving to Iceland with my son. What is your intake for a woman of color, and her son moving there? I am ready to move away from America. It is getting really bad here, and I just want to start over. Any thoughts or suggestions?
If you really want it, you should go for it. You will definitely have some challenges but that's why you really need to want it to make it work - especially because it's a big move all the way from the US with your son. What is your reason for choosing Iceland? I'm sure you have already thought of this but you will face challenges like culture shock/differences, the weather, food differences, making friends, finding job opportunities available to foreigners - especially those who do not speak Icelandic and many more. I can definitely work but you really have to figure out if it is for you.

Sounds like an impossible situation. But I can understand people wanting to take the offer because for many, becoming a cabin crew is a dream - even if it costs you more than you actually gain!

Hi Holly, you could do whatever suits you best. Either relocate to the base or stay in accommodation the day before you're rostered. It's probably best to just rent somewhere close to your base, since it's a full time job.

I have a very good reason for saying that. I usually do not mind second hand at all but when I went to that particular charity shop in Germany the quality of the 2 things I picked up was really really terrible. I cannot even begin to explain in writing, but that changed my mind about certain second hand things. And I myself have shopped at Owino Market before. You can find great things! I just had a bad experience in that German shop. When I got back to London (after flight attending) I bought 2 sweaters from a charity shop and to this day, I still use one of them. But I was very careful with selecting.
Hey Kristina, you usually fly back straight away. Within 25 minutes in most cases, unless you get a slot, which means you are delayed by an hour or so.

@@gabychavrimootoo1968 It is very surprising. I think it's going to be difficult because there is so much information to absorb. 9 - 6pm, 5 days a week. You have to think about this carefully. Then again, I could be wrong and perhaps some people will learn better online. Look at all the information they have provided and decide. Have they given you a base yet?

I'm good thanks! I lived with it for the time I was a flight attendant. Couldn't save very much because I was also doing my completing my driving licence in the UK. Experience at my base was ok. My contract was 18 months. Maybe it is different these days. Usually one can sign a new contact after the first one ends.

No, they send you where there is a vacancy. But you need to read the job description for details. Things have changed recently because of Brexit, so maybe that could be the case.
Hey again, I inboxed you not long ago on Facebook, gone over your video again... I already went over the pimple problem but also with grooming checks, what about if you wear acrylic nails? If I was to remove them my nails look pretty awful until they grow back so I tend to just get my nails redone... With lockdown though my nails are fine and back healthy but if I was to do the training course, would it be best to leave my nails how they are now. Sorry for all these questions I just would like to get things spot on :)
When it comes to nails, it's really up to you. I started off with my natural nails (just painting them every day), but that was too time consuming, so I switched to going to the nail salon every 3 weeks for gel nails. They saved me time.
In the cabin crew weekend, do you have to go on weekends? Is it Monday to Friday? Just need to know as I’m planning to keep my weekend job whilst training.

Thankyou! I am not sure about that these days, but I think now, you can put a 'preferred base' option. When I became a cabin crew however, I could not choose my base.

They are always recruiting. I'm not sure of the details so it's up to you to make that decision based on the information they are giving you. I think there have been a few changes that I am not really up to speed on because I no longer work there so I can't really say. If you really want to avoid being exposed to covid the obvious answer would be no, but then again if you are out and if you are out and about already it, doesn't really make much of a difference to start flying.
@@emanuelenocerino4183 yes of course. General questions like why you want to become cabin crew, if you have any tattoos, why Ryanair and stuff like that. After these, they will read you some sentences and they’re gonna ask you some questions just to see your English comprehension. No need to be stressed, just put a smile on and everything will be fine!

You can use your phone but never allow passengers to see you. Some cabin supervisors are weird about it too, but they will just tell you to your face if they are. You should be given a list of what to take with you with the pre-course study pack. I hope that helps.

The recrutor telled me that in his opinion it was okay and to wait for a response. Buut, the problem is that i don t have a passport yet and I telled him on the intvw. In Europe you are employed in Ireland and get paid in Euros (thus you need to set up an Irish bank account, but if that fails for some reason they can pay you into your Euro account). In the UK you are paid in pounds and need to have a UK bank account. You need to pay social security/national insurance in the country you live in. Things might have changed slightly with Brexit but that is how things were when I worked there.
Yes, it was relatively easy. You just need to request it and you get it as long as you have enough days. If you do not request it, they will just give the days to you.

@@adesuwadewit5467 actually its more on the low end of things. 1000 for accomodtion at base, 1 month deposit, 1 month rent. 300 for upkeep during the training course. 200 for 1 month transport and food.

I mean, you can apply and if you pass all the steps and they offer a Lauda training to you, you may get to get base in Croatia. If they offer you a Ryanair training just ask if they can change you to Lauda but I don't know if that's possible...

Hi Imogen, yes, you need to pay for the medical test before training. The training centre location, will most likely not be your base.

Hey lorena, I think that is a good sign. Your contract will be with Crewlink. Then maybe after a year or two you can get a Ryanair contract.

Honestly, I don't remember doing reach test with Ryanair. They are a bit more flexible with heights than other airlines. 5'2" - 6'2".

@@gabychavrimootoo1968 It is very surprising. I think it's going to be difficult because there is so much information to absorb. 9 - 6pm, 5 days a week. You have to think about this carefully. Then again, I could be wrong and perhaps some people will learn better online. Look at all the information they have provided and decide. Have they given you a base yet?

I think you should email them back and ask to cancel it. Go with your gut if you really don't want to fly. It is an uncertain time because of Covid.

I'm good thanks! I lived with it for the time I was a flight attendant. Couldn't save very much because I was also doing my completing my driving licence in the UK. Experience at my base was ok. My contract was 18 months. Maybe it is different these days. Usually one can sign a new contact after the first one ends.
If your training is in Birmingham and you live in Birmingham do you still have to get somewhere to stay?
Depends on how long it takes for you to get to the training centre. If the distance is too much, you might find it hard showing up every day.

No, they send you where there is a vacancy. But you need to read the job description for details. Things have changed recently because of Brexit, so maybe that could be the case.
Hey again, I inboxed you not long ago on Facebook, gone over your video again... I already went over the pimple problem but also with grooming checks, what about if you wear acrylic nails? If I was to remove them my nails look pretty awful until they grow back so I tend to just get my nails redone... With lockdown though my nails are fine and back healthy but if I was to do the training course, would it be best to leave my nails how they are now. Sorry for all these questions I just would like to get things spot on :)
When it comes to nails, it's really up to you. I started off with my natural nails (just painting them every day), but that was too time consuming, so I switched to going to the nail salon every 3 weeks for gel nails. They saved me time.
In the cabin crew weekend, do you have to go on weekends? Is it Monday to Friday? Just need to know as I’m planning to keep my weekend job whilst training.
Training sometimes occurs on weekends.

I’m wondering why they’re recruiting now, during Covid when they have already cut a lot of the usual flights. I had the interview but I’m highly concerned if it’s worth the time to do the training and work under these circumstances. What do you think?

They are always recruiting. I'm not sure of the details so it's up to you to make that decision based on the information they are giving you. I think there have been a few changes that I am not really up to speed on because I no longer work there so I can't really say. If you really want to avoid being exposed to covid the obvious answer would be no, but then again if you are out and if you are out and about already it, doesn't really make much of a difference to start flying.
@@emanuelenocerino4183 yes of course. General questions like why you want to become cabin crew, if you have any tattoos, why Ryanair and stuff like that. After these, they will read you some sentences and they’re gonna ask you some questions just to see your English comprehension. No need to be stressed, just put a smile on and everything will be fine!

Hi I love your videos. I just wanted to ask are you allowed to use your mobile as a cabin crew while you are on the ground? What would you pack and take with you on flights on a daily basis?
You can use your phone but never allow passengers to see you. Some cabin supervisors are weird about it too, but they will just tell you to your face if they are. You should be given a list of what to take with you with the pre-course study pack. I hope that helps.

Per diem is paid while on the training course. It is to help you with some of your expenses such as food.

Hello Tabitha. The traing is no longer free you have to pay 13000 dh first and another 13000 dh at the end of training in case you pass the training .
Perhaps in some countries you have to pay, but here in the UK and Europe it is 100% free.

The recrutor telled me that in his opinion it was okay and to wait for a response. Buut, the problem is that i don t have a passport yet and I telled him on the intvw. And they sent me an e mail to sent my passport to further process my aplication. What do you think? After I sent my passport to them, I will receive a positive response? I need your opinion 😁. How are you employed? In the uk and based in europe and you get paid in euros ? How does ot work ?
In Europe you are employed in Ireland and get paid in Euros (thus you need to set up an Irish bank account, but if that fails for some reason they can pay you into your Euro account). In the UK you are paid in pounds and need to have a UK bank account. You need to pay social security/national insurance in the country you live in. Things might have changed slightly with Brexit but that is how things were when I worked there.

Yes, it was relatively easy. You just need to request it and you get it as long as you have enough days. If you do not request it, they will just give the days to you.

How much is the accommodation? And how much do you have to have for a minimum before you go ?
It was 700 euros for the accommodation I had. I think a doable minimum to have is 1500 euros/pounds.

@@adesuwadewit5467 actually its more on the low end of things. 1000 for accomodtion at base, 1 month deposit, 1 month rent. 300 for upkeep during the training course. 200 for 1 month transport and food.

No, it doesn't mean that. Your base is more random than that. It's not chosen according to your needs or desire.
If you get accepted at Lauda it is possible bc they only have 4 bases right now and 2 of them are in Croatia.

@@andrijanaduspara944 1 in Zadar and 1 in Zagreb from the middle of this summer. I mean, you can apply and if you pass all the steps and they offer a Lauda training to you, you may get to get base in Croatia. If they offer you a Ryanair training just ask if they can change you to Lauda but I don't know if that's possible...
But as Tabitha said, you could have another base at the end such as Mallorca or Vienna, so you have to consider if it's still worth it for you or not.
