I remember racing against them. 86 was my senior year in high school. My 7th year racing MX. What a good looking bike my friend. Thanks for sharing your time and videos with us and me.
You guys have the best bikes i've ever seen,1986 and 1987 CRs are the best looking bikes,I wish we had bikes that good up here in Canada, you don't see them like that anymore,Brings me back to my teenage years.
Happy Sabbath Day Ken , man that CR 250 is So Pristine , has me drooling!!!! Whew!!!! I just wanna say Thankyou for all the work and effort you put into saving all the bikes , and trikes that you guys do 👍 Love your videos Ken and enjoy seeing all the bikes that come through there 😊👍 God bless you and your family Ken , and God Bless America 🇺🇸
One of my favorite spots on go's green earth is that area in your museum that has these orange bikes all in a line. Just sets of atomic reactions inside my body that I just can't explain.
You guys have the best bikes on the internet , no one can out tune you master mechanic. That why we love the good old USA , because of guys like you!!! Keep the dream alive guys !!!
i know im old n road these old bikes ya know the best part of these old bikes are the seats are like sitting on a pillow that you could ride all day on not like todays hard as a brick tolit paper roll of a seat
i wasn't even alive until 1995 but the 1986 Honda anything is my favorite year/style.. i had an 86 cr80r and i ripped that for so many summers nothing but mixing fuel and air filters. so reliable and quick
God I love it! I bought a 1986 CR 500 R brand new and she was a rocket ship. I too bought a pro circuit pipe for mine and kept the old one also, I loved her and she was a museum piece when I sold her😓 had to so we moved.
This is the last motorcycle I had and somebody took it about a year ago. I miss that dirt bike, got to get another. Would love to visit the museum one day.
12.02 to 12.18 look at you video explaining how mint the Motorcycle is! Check the video of the frame rails were you feel for the small dents now look a little further back! someone has ridden it and took the paint off the frame! just sayin! enjoying the great content and bikes though!
Senior, this question is for you!! You was reading an article I think from a magazine. And u said "'1984-1985 an 1986"'-Was The Most Vicious Of the Cr-250's and Cr-500's."' Is that true???
It’s funny when I was younger everyone had to have a brand new bike you just weren’t cool if ur bike was a few years old and I had older bikes lol. Now that I’m older and could buy a new bike I just want an old bike. It’s amazing how expensive bikes have gotten. In 2005ish I had a fully built 1996 rm 250 clean like this bike the old owner put a TON of money into it was the fastest 250 2 stroke I’ve ever driven didn’t matter what gear you had it in the front wheel would come up on you. Well I was only 20 years old back then and I was building a mustang and needed money so I sold it. I would have kept it but nobody ever wanted to go riding anymore. Back then in 2005ish you could buy a 96 rm 250 for 1000-1200 bucks and now they are 2500 plus it’s crazy how expensive they are now but they are much cheaper then cars lol. I’ve been trying to find a 1979 ish Yamaha mx175 for a project to restore and man even an old Mx that’s beat up and doesn’t run is about 1,000 bucks. When I had my 79 mx 175 back in like 1999 man it was hard to find parts you had to grab a dirt bike magazine too look at the ads in the back to find company’s that sold parts for them. I needed a piston and a carburetor and the Yamaha dealer would laugh at me trying to buy parts for a 20 year old bike but now you can go online and find whatever you need.
Ive got a 1982 Honda xl500r that is in good condition if y'all would maybe be interested in getting it. 16k miles kept in North Carolina most if its life.

Now that's how a mx bike is supposed to look, and sound! What a beauty.
Beautiful machine and all the cc anyone needs to race, cheers ken.
1988, I remember Rick Johnson riding a CR500r , I wanted one so bad, but that sound will live with me for ever.
God damn that thing looks so sweet. I think my all time favorites are the 89 CRs and the 90, 91 KXs.
That bike is beyond beautiful 🤩

The 1986 cr 250 is the best dirtbike ever built.i only like the 85 seat with the block letters. But the gold rims on the 86 make the difference.
