    That's exactly how my mom taught me how to brush out my hot roller sets when I was a girl. Classic techniques that her mom used in the 40's, and she used in the 60's and taught her daughters.

    I love the look. Having naturally curly hair my problem is trying to get the flatter crown and top of the hair. Love that top. You have wonderfully freckle free shoulders and look wonderful in those kind of tops. Thank you for taking the time to show how to get the styles that are so feminine.

    Thank you so much for making this video! I have incredibly hard to curl, straight hair, and I purchased hot sticks after seeing some of your older tutorials, but whenever I use them, my hair turns into a frizzy clown wig and no amount of brushing against my hand will take it down! I need to practice more, I guess :)

    Great tutorial - this video made me order hot sticks too Lol Really appreciate the explanation / demo of the brush-out - that part is so key to the style.

    Very pretty . I've never used hot sticks before . My hair is so straight that I have had bad luck with hot sets ( I tend to always do wet sets ) , but I think part of my problem is that I'm not letting them set and cool enough . After watching this , I'm going to give my hot rollers another try . I know I wont get the same look of tight curls , of the hot sticks , but I know I definately need some more practice with hot sets . Then maybe I'll try the hot sticks . Thanks so much for this :)

    Thank you for this video! Nice to have a non wet set option...since I'm really lazy. Also, you look so beautiful in this video! Your top is lovely too! I've been hunting for an off the shoulder top for ages, to no avail.

    Roll them looser, away from the crown and more hair on each one. ;-)

    I just found your videos and I LOVE them! New subscriber :) I have to ask, what are the blush and lip colors you are using? They are so perfect with your hair color.

    Do you have a list on your website or a video explaining / showing All the products you use (hairspray, setting lotion, etc...); combs, brushes, etc.. and irons, curlers, hot rollers, etc? =) I have thick hair and it feel like every time I brush out my hair, the waves never stay curled. I love all your videos btw, legit ! =)

    I use layrite grooming spray for my wet sets as you do, but have been curious since it is alcohol based, is it more damaging to the hair since it is dryer and if you use it with a heated set, wouldn't it be damaging instead of protecting? I've never tried it when styling with heat because I'm scared of the damage it may or may not cause to my hair.

    no because the alcohol layer burns off first, protecting the hair. :)

    Hi, I just bought a set of Hot Sticks and tried them without any product and my hair is thin and fine with a light wave. I was wondering about the Layrite Grooming Spray you use and where I can buy some? I can't seem to find any online. Thanks!

    I have regular foam sticks, not hot ones.. I've put them on damp hair once and it turned out like I had an afro xD do you have any advice? am I doing it wrong?

    14:24 is it more challenging with bangs to style your hair?

    • @LisaFreemontStreet
      @LisaFreemontStreet  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all. I have a video called Blending Bangs that will talk about that

      Ohh yeah thaanks. I love the 🌊 wave and curl of bang to the side, as I felt that’s seen in many true vintage style....yet Iv been wanting to try a bang for years.
      My hair is somewhat curly, I love the idea you curled yours and just left the bangs.
