I'm that "insane" U2 fan that basically travelled the globe to watch them in concert. I met Bono outside his Hotel, of course I was waiting for this encounter. He was such a nice guy, this was early 90's and we talked a bit, he gave an autograph a picture and then went running. I was in shock that I made this encounter happen out of sheer insanity on my part. I walked away from the meeting feeling high for 3 days and could not believe I met him and how incredibly happy I felt, almost like I had a religious experience. I know that sounds crazy but it's kinda nuts how a music artist can have this much power.
I just bumped into Justins TH-cam channel a few days ago sort of by mistake.. I absolutely love this!!! It is rather unfortunate in a way that I had never heard of The Darkness before a week ago.. What an absolute Brilliant Band!!! I love this music and I love Justins take on singing Rock & Roll.. It is so different, refreshing, unique and Powerful.. I wish I had heard of The Darkness Years ago.. No I have not been living in a cave..LOL.. Thank the Rock & Roll Gods for sending me this music in this time of the world being turned upside down.. I just checked the Bands official Website and saw that The Darkness will be playing in Toronto in April which is only an hour and a bit away from me.. The Darkness is quickly becoming one of my most favourite bands ever!!! I really need to get a ticket for this concert for my wife and I.. I really hope I can as I have just been laid off from work and probably will not be able to afford it as i am putting both of my children through University which is super expensive.. I am praying!!!! We really need to see this band play live especially after not being able to see live music for 2 years..I hope that I can make this happen somehow
My friend used to listen to The Darkness and I didn't pay much attention to the band. Now that I have stumbled upon this channel, knowing your thoughts and listened your music some more, you and your band have grown on me. Maybe that's what you're after but you got me in, haha. Hey, maybe it's because more and more musicians get called for their actions about what they did or didn't do. You know, don't ever get to know your idols even if you have the chance to. But here's a little glimpse of someone exposing a bit of his mind, and I don't mind. Not saying you're my idol or anything, just saying it's refreshing to hear someone to speak their mind on popular artistry and bands. I really like the frequent updates and videos that you make. I'd really love The Hellacopters review for Soulseller or something!
@@joeldukes303 Yeah. They went for a much more straightforward approach with “All That You Can’t Leave Behind” and haven’t really ever been as avant-garde since.
Achtung Baby has got to be my favourite, they still had so much vibe and creative spark and the production is immaculate. They really worked for it and the songs were also just so good. After this album they often seemed pretentious or tired. So Achtung excellently produced by Lanois and Eno and Lilywhite, that’s U2’s last real good one, while nowadays U2 are just the nuisance that’s starts playing on my Apple devices and honestly that’s not compelling for me. It was cool to see them live in Montreal on the Joshua Tree tour and attend the original screenings of Rattle and Hum. A Superband experience bar none.
Good day to you as well. It is I, K Busby, and I have never met Bono although I did slip into the arena to hear U2's soundcheck prior to seeing their show later that evening. This was in January of 1988. I was certainly a fan of their first five albums (Boy, October, War, The Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree). Can't say I have given them too much of my attention since the 80's. Had I met him in my youth I would likely have had a similar reaction as you. Now that seems highly unlikely. Great content as always. Have a great tour.

I think there's about two U2 songs I like. Other than that, I mostly know Bono and the Edge as the guys who wrote music for a Spider-man musical just to spite Andrew Lloyd Webber. Still, Edge is a good guitarist from what I can tell, and Bono seems to be a good frontman, so more to them.

Also, can you do a review on the movie "It Might Get Loud" and those three guitar players and if there was to be a second movie who would be the three guitar players you would pick to be featured now? LET IT ROCK.
I love this channel. The first video I watched was on Aerosmith's best songs. You mentioned Uriah Heep and David Byron and I lost my mind. Knew I was in good company lol and BTW you should grow the stache like Byron's!
I have vocal polyps too! It's been a life-long struggle of needing surgeries almost each year and the effect is truly disabling to the voice. Hopefully yours isn't recurrent!
Hello Justin! I enjoy your insightful videos a lot, thank you for it. I am swiss, and i was wondering if you could talk a bit about your experience living here. I always found the idea of Icons like Bowie or Mercury - or you - living in our remarkably un-rocknroll country a collision of two completely different worlds - and the idea of you doing vocal lessons at Opernhaus Zürich is just wonderful. How do you see our country, how do you like St. Gallen, where do you like to go, how do you balance living here and your international career, et ceterea. thanks xx thom
Justin. Love your channel and music. I envy your guitar chops. Quick question, what ever happened to that beautiful sliverburst Les Paul with the flame inlays? Not that there is anything wrong with your white customs.
from the first album up to The Joshua Tree U2 always had a handful of songs i really really liked but honestly far more songs i found to be meh. but then The Joshua Tree is one of my all time favorite albums i absolutely LOVE it, and i do not like one single track they have done after it.

I think at this point we have heard Justin talking about all the Brit "greats" but one. Need a video on Radiohead, Justin
Hi Justin, love watching your TH-cam videos. Will they continue whilst you're on tour?
Is there anyone that you would like to sing with you? (past or present). Thank you. Keep on with the great sense of humour and kind words for others in your profession xx
Yes! They'll continue during the tour, there might be a few less in a week but I'm trying to post as many as possible!
Wasn't Bald about Bono? "Well tonight thank god, thank god its him not me" or have I read too much into that for all these years 😂
Hey Justin. Your hair seems to be fuller now compared to12 years ago or more. What's your secret? Also, can you do a review on the movie "It Might Get Loud" and those three guitar players and if there was to be a second movie who would be the three guitar players you would pick to be featured now? LET IT ROCK.
I too once met U2 and stood very close to The Edge.
I'd like to push Bono off of an edge
The same thing happened when I met Matt Hensley in 1991
I love this channel.
3:50 This passage made me feel hilarious!
Justin, please take me backstage to meet #Bono sometime!!!!
Spinal tap !! Great movie !
Beards are there to get caught in the zip of your fleece which make de-jacketing with aplomb difficult.
Justin. Love your channel and music. I envy your guitar chops. Quick question, what ever happened to that beautiful sliverburst Les Paul with the flame inlays? Not that there is anything wrong with your white customs.
I would like to know that too.
You've played with Spinal Tap!!!!....Like scoring the winner in an FA Cup Final:):)
Spinal Tap: Lick My Love Pump! WHAT a song!
I definitely use a beard to hide my chins. Somehow I do not feel attacked.
Eat vegetable, German style Cole slaw, cabbage all day long and raw cucumbers. It's they way I can smoke and drink all days long. And avoid all sugar.
from the first album up to The Joshua Tree U2 always had a handful of songs i really really liked but honestly far more songs i found to be meh. but then The Joshua Tree is one of my all time favorite albums i absolutely LOVE it, and i do not like one single track they have done after it.
