You caught it! This is a tribute to John Williams. All scores written by John Williams. Some folks don't catch this. This is one of my favorite Voctave covers.
I have to say I love this reaction Chris! Their technical capability, let alone their ability to syncopate, is just astounding! It makes my heart swell every time I watch this video!
I really enjoyed your passionate and informative reaction. I hope you continue to immerse yourself in a cappella, specifically Voctave, Pentatonix, Home Free and VoicePlay. It's a rabbit hole that just keeps on giving. I look forward to many more of your reactions. Laissez les bontemps roulez!
It doesn't have a music video but you should react to their Prince of Egypt Medley. It is my absolute favorite by then. It blows me away Everytime. Love your reactions!! It's nice to see someone truly enjoy the music.
Great, great, great……. Have I mentioned, GREAT reaction to this video. The use of voice as instruments has been around for hundreds, maybe even thousands of years. This is not what people expect when they watch this Voctave video, they probably expect words. Every time I watch a reactor, their reactions are always the same. Utter awestruck. You picking up on the John Williams aspect, shows how knowledgable you are, in music and composers. You need to check out their “Prince of Egypt” medley.
I am for sure knowledgeable in the music/arts world and have been immersed in it for many many years! It’s definitely my passion :) I’m definitely excited to add that medley soon!
@@creativecrewfam I, myself, was born into music. Concert choir in junior high and high school. Marching band in school, and competition in CYO and Eastern Mass. moved into drum and bugle until I aged out. Mixed into that, I was a member of Barbershop chorus and quartet, along with my dad (he was active in barbershop all my life until his passing) I enjoy good, quality music. The kind that eases your mind and sole. I feel Voctave is pure music. I realize there’s some post production mixing, but I feel is more for blending, and nothing is added electronically. A lot of other artists, use auto tune and multi-tracks. People have commented that Voctave sounds the same in a live performance, as they do on videos.
I would also love to see u react to Voiceplay. They r another great group i think u'd enjoy :). I would personally recommend their covers of Hoist the Colors, My Mother Told Me & Carry On My Wayward Son :)
@George Megaw That is EXACTLY what happened. The Original Title of this Composition by Jamey Ray was something along the lines of "The John Williams Tribute Medley." I believe John's people got wind and said, "Absolutely not." So Jamey changed the title.
Love your reaction. Thank you ! I sincerely believe Voctave is the best that a cappella has to offer.
Thanks for watching! They are definitely amazing!

Loveeeee John Williams!
I love their voices became an orchestra. You even hear the tympany at the end. This one was the first that I saw of Vocative's. Great reaction.

A few years ago the Seattle Symphony did a John Williams concert, and it ended up being a John Williams conducts John Williams. It was amazing!!!
I'm just totally impressed with the arrangers for these a capella groups! So amazing!
Exactly!

@@creativecrewfam YES!! Prince of Egypt might just be one of their best, which is saying something. Can't wait to see your reaction.
I've been watching reaction videos from this song for about 2 years or more and this is the 1st time i heard all the music is from John Williams
Great reaction :) Definitely recommend you check out their Disney Princess Medley and their Disney Love Medley
The Disney Princess Medley is my absolute favorite from Voctave. I could listen to it all day.

I'd add their cover of "The Halo Theme" to that list.
Prince of Egypt by Voctave
How could you forget Mr. Williams' most famous work - Star Wars?
Oh goodness! How did I forget??
@@creativecrewfam lol. no worries. I believe JW has done over 75 soundtracks...
love your reactions!
He’s defintelyyyy been used for MANY film scores! Thanks for watching- I’m glad you enjoy! :)
These are all John Williams work
All JW…but i suspect they couldn’t license NIL -- with the ‘N’ being ‘name…(IL=Image and likeness)’….hence Movie Medley is the title.
