The saddest moment for me was when Beth shot Mr. PBH thinking he was a parasite. But when it goes to the scene of the family visiting him in physical therapy he rejects Beth’s request to see him. But judging by his face it looked like he wasn’t mad at Beth, he just didn’t want the family to see him in that condition.
9:54 spoiler
Rick come to prime dimension that s home dimension of prime rick who killed his family and he waited in this reality and preparing for him to come back. After he destroyde earth he pick Morty Prime with him :)
You forgot mr poooy butholes death
Rick wanting to kill himself and Morty crying over Planetina leaving him definitely come to mind.
Yea unity's letter hurt deeply cause I too am a toxic person who infects people making them like me
Rick only failing to end his life because he passed out and telling his family he'll be in the garage before that but no one checks up on him hits hard ngl. Also acting like it didn't affect him "fun's fun but who needs it"
Morty left her lol. He cried because he knew it’s what he had to do
Most common ones to say
What episodes were that?
"Your mom and sister died Morty! *sigh* And I moved on...from caring." -OG Jerry that moment is both cathartic and sad. To see Jerry put Morty in his place while also realizing how much pain he's gone through just to be "better" in his sons eyes.
Bro this episode made me think bro
I also liked that OG Jerry tried to kill Rick Prime when he asked about Morty, which showed that he still somewhat cared for Morty even though he abandoned them and was the reason for OG Summer and Beth's deaths.
"can't you hear the earth screaming?!" was such a raw and sad line
I really hope they will bring Planetina back. Even if it's just for one episode 😃
@@Liam1991 She was a murdering psycho though.
i mean we are at that phrase now sadly
She's an expy of Captain Planet, but unlike him, she lacks heart. I'm pretty sure that's why she went into a homicidal rage over people ravaging the planet.
“How can we sleep while our beds are burning?”
2:55 "We are not them!! We are not them..." gets me every time.
Rick's and Tony's possible friendship is really sad since Tony was one of the few that actually understood Rick's feelings
Real
The sheer emotion in the reset button story between Morty and Glasses Girl broke me into tears so quickly. I cannot possibly have been the only cursing Jerry's name at that moment.
I’ve been with my wife since I was 16. I am now 30. The idea of her not remembering all of that and I do fucking destroyed me. Craziest episode ever
@@bluepower1177 Don't let Jerry find your remote. 🙂
Same thing happened to me but at the same time, I was really mad at morty for not resetting and starting over. If that helicopter wasn’t there they wouldn’t have been alive because morty chose to risk their and end strangers lives (everyone who died on the plane too not just the survivors) by calling and it didn’t work, he got lucky. That was karma fucking with him.
And that's why Rick hates jerry
Morty’s speech to Summer has stuck with me ever since I first saw that episode
its amazing how much a show can make u feel something
FACTS
Greys anatomy
I'm one of those who found Morty's speech to Summer more uplifting than depressing. Letting her know that she's not alone in feeling the confusion and anger, and that it's okay, because she can still be there with people who care about her and get on with her life. Feeling a lack of meaning doesn't mean we can't find comfort and, ultimately, meaning in the company of our loved ones and life as we know it.
Agreed. When I'm feeling down, I remember Morty's wise words.
the sad moment I actually cried when Mr. PBH looking at his photo album seeing pictures when his cat is sick and passed away actually made me shed tears
"shes gone mum, i loved her so much" was the saddest moment in all of rick and morty imo
its so simple but is so relatable at the same time, everyone has experienced that grief making it so much sadder to me
Another thing to note when Rick sacrificed himself for Morty, time didn't split or divide again, meaning that Rick was absolutely certain of saving Morty.
It's crazy how the artificial Diane scene from s6e1 wasn't mentioned. That was heart wrenching.
Was it artificial? 🤔 or did Rick lie about it being a fake origin story
I think he meant that he programmed the voice to constantly give him shit. Maybe not I don’t want to speak for them but that’s how I took it
Rick programmed a sentient cpu to torture him with passive aggression and guilt because he blames himself for his family's death. For some reason that wasn't among the top 20.
@@ChelX why would Rick lie about the death of his real wife and daughter?when he didn't care about being a scientist or a Rick he just wanted a decent life and he lives with their death on his mind everyday
Rick & Morty is definitely one of the few shows that have you thinking about your life & the decision you make. 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏻♀️
Like Bojack Horseman
Another thing about the Unity episode...It's the first time Beth tries to set boundaries with Rick. Considering this, if he'd successfully killed himself, she may have blamed herself and would have been devastated. Now realize, in the show's multiverse, there's a version where this actually happened...
The part where Rick gives Morty the time colar and is ready to die in the endless void of... cats hits differently. Once you know that Morty is the grandson of Rick Prime and yet Rick C-137 saved him and was 100 times the grandfather Rick Prime was to his own biological grandson it's so wholesome.
When that citadel Morty throws himself in that trash dump portal was sad because he did it with the intention of offering his life for the sake of mortys lives being bettered through his wish. He hoped his existence was worth enough for that tradeoff or remotely worth anything for that matter and at the end, doubted it but did it anyway because he couldn't continue living that way plus the off chance he'd make a difference. A true hero.
Yeah why wasn’t that on here??
@@sergenic2499 Couldn't tell you, I thought it'd be top 3 (I knew #1 was likely gonna be Rick's garage moment) or at least top 5 on the list.
The wind calling Jerry a loser after the wolf ate his unemployment check and threw it up was one for me.
I remember watching Rick attempt suicide and as a recovering addict (who was in active addiction at the time) I came very close to attempting suicide. That scene had a massive influence on me. I’m here today as a product of the things I’ve learned, experienced, and the immense work I’ve done on myself to get better. That scene was one of many moments that helped to save my life.
Glad to know you chose to live, no matter how hard. I wish you Health and Love. Get better, friend. Your kin are behind you
@@bigdaddy_bo6741 thanks buddy. 125 days today and all the support I could ever ask for behind me
Stay strong and honest brother! There's more of us out here every day unfortunately! Stay an inspiration to the rest!
I still listen to the song that plays that scene out and have a good cry. It's more cathartic now than painful.
I'm actually a little shocked that evil Morty's explanation for the "why" of it all at the close of season 5 wasn't on here, it contained a fairly brutal assessment of how damaged Rick's are.
thats not sad though
Hoovy's death is the sadist moment in the show in my opinion, he was just a nice guy trying to enjoy his life
I think Rick's attempted suicide is probably the saddest moment to me
Pissmans death in season 6 is the saddest in my opinion
100% vat of acid is the saddest episode, i don’t cry to literally anything but i have cried multiple times to that episode
This is one of the only shows that can make me cry
Rick's backstory actually got me really sad, who could've assumed this old drunk that's always rude could have such a painful and sad backstory and lived such a hellish life. He might go hunt for rick prime in season 7 but still he wasted his entire life hunting someone that is almost impossible to find, and he was practically forced into it because he never asked to become the smartest man in history of everything. He killed so many ricks and it might just be for nothing if he doesn't manage to catch rick prime, and again he never asked or wished to become super intelligent have sci-fi adventures or eventually creating interdimensional travel. He was forced into it because of his thirst of revenge
The one moment that made me cry was when Morty left Planetina and then Beth came in and started comforting him. It really showed that at the end of the day, Morty is a kid with feelings who just wants his mothers love sometimes no matter what he goes through. ❤
Glasses girl and Planetina were definitely two of the saddest scenes
Wubba lubba dub dub!
“I’m in great pain please help me”
Wubba lubba dub dub!
It's time to party!
Rick is really just a sad old man and not in an insulting way.
He’s a saddled fart
Honestly, when Beth picked summer to spare insted of morty and then summer glanced at morty was kinda sad
I hope doofus rick wasn't on the citadel and hasn't tried to use his portal gun
The human spaghetti, rick trying to take his own life and Rick giving himself to the police while Hurt is playing hit me hard
when Rick gave Morty his collar the universe didn't split meaning that in every conceivable universe Rick would've sacrificed himself for Morty no matter what
Seeing Morty's perfect relationship get unintentionally reset by Jerry was the most heartbreaking for me. It also heavily set my dislike of Jerry in stone.
I personally place the Planetina episode as my number one. And you have to say, the song they played is a hidden treasure 😃
My god everytime morty and rick find a person to love something sci-fi happens and they get depressed
Slick Mortys sacrifice in S3E7 „The Ricklantis Mixup“ should have been in here.
The ones that always hit me are Morty crying when Rick leaves him again.
Rick being positive about giving his lofe for morty
Morty + glasses girl and Planetina
Rick after Unity breaks it off for good
Incredible good show. Fun, nerd/geek/science culture en pure emotions and deeper meaning that make you think about life. Also gut punching sometimes, love it.
The music choices in Rick And Morty make the moments whoever chooses the music is a genius
“Ricks crybaby backstory” is by far the saddest part of the entire show.
Idk if I'd say saddest, but it's the deepest, hardest hitting scene by far.
It’s not that just what planetina did was unjustified. It’s that at first she reminded morty of himself when he was still innocent and wanted to hold on to that again
Planetina saying f*** you and flying off reminded me of a bad college break up I had. That made me sad AF.
doofus Rick is even more lovable in the comic, Doofus Jerry is a BEAST!
@ 06:31 The narrator kinda sounds like Jerry when he says:"we're not crying, it's just raining" 😁😁
Ngl the saddest ep is the pissmaster, dude killed himself, and his daughter was so worried, and then Rick tried bringing him back and it didn’t work. Very sad
THE ULTIMATE SADDEST MOMENT: JUSTIN ROILAND WAS JUST FIRED FROM HIS OWN GODDAMN SHOW!!! 😡
Vat of Acid Clapton song really drives home how Rick uses Morty
The unity episode broke me for awhile. haha.
I usually don’t press the like button on videos (cause I’m lazy) but I had to like cause this man called me a cry baby and I respect that
Wonderful choices and scripts.cant stop watching Rick and Morty.awesome masterpiece.
Bruh did a robot write this
Rick losing his original wife and daughter should of been at the top
I wouldn't say Rick is a terrible father , he never had the time to get better because most of his adult life was seeking revenge for a life he never had the chance to have and experience hence why he seems like a douchebag to his alternate reality family. Each season shows his growth and layers to why he is the way he is and the beauty of it is that its relatable that's why so many people including me love this show ❤
*Morty breaking up with Planetina honestly made me cry hard.* 😢😢😢😢😢
Whats my purpose? You pass the butter
I think there are some scenes in seasons 6 and 7 that would knock these out of the park
When Beth had to decide between saving Morty or Summer and immediately chose Summer
23:02 It's more than implied that she remembered: when the multiple timelines are unified all the things that Morty undid with the remote device became all real, so she definitely remembered because they DID have the relationship and survived the plane crash etc. But it is also revealed that this is not Morty's own universe to begin with, so when he goes back nothing happened, he just leaves behind this one universe where he did all kinds of horrible things and then killed himself in a vat of acid.
The one that comes to mind for me is pissmasters death and rick trying to fix all the damage done to him after getting beaten up by jerry
I feel like bird persons death and Rick turning himself in could have been split up in the list. When he turns himself in with the song hurt playing in the background always gets to me.
I legit teared up when he said to leave the car alone 😢
That reset relationship one really got me, along with the planetina one.
19:35 you know what they say “Never meet your Favorites”
Uh... it's 'heroes'.
When Rick finds out that alien is pooping on his toilet and finds out he dies..
Maybe during a Jerry birthday episode Rick can get Doofus Rick to make a cameo again. If interdimensional travel is back, that is. If Morty had just followed his previous choices. He could still been with that girlfriend.
I like the optimism but i feel like doofus ricks chances of out living regular other ricks might be low.
Actually this Jerry doesn't know Doofus Rick. That was Season 2 Jerry who is now Mr Frundles 💔
Damn, can’t believe Rick and Bird Person’s backstory/Bird Person interacting with Tammy in his mind aren’t on the list
Thank you for the accurate #1. I was worried there would be a curveball like Summer killing Tinkles.
Moji really knows how to kill the sadness ...
you took in the fart dying but not the guy killing himself saying my life is a fucking joke
Season 4 ending hit extra hard since it was the peak of the pandemic and everything was crazy.
imo the saddest part of season 7 was when Rick Prime kills Slow Mobius
Spaghetti guy -live forever really hits home
Top 10 Jerry Smith Got What He Deserved on Rick and Morty
Top 10 Times Blooregard Q Kazzo Got What He Deserved On Foster's Home
"Used to tell her everything I was feeling, then I stopped. I wanted her to love who she thought I was. Not who I felt myself becoming" don't ever make this mistake...
Tammy shooting bird person was shocking and sad
Top six seasons of Rick & Morty!
Top 30 times Rick opened a portal!
Top 20 episodes the Gromthamites were mentioned!
The sad moment was the wedding with bird person
One of the saddest was look on down from the bridge by mazzy star. That pulled at the heartstrings.
Funny, sad and profound.
#1: The Whole Of Jerry’s Existence
"Shut up, Jerry."
I imagine rick cries himself to sleep every night.
RICK AND MORTY FOR 1000 YEARS
Rick losing his wife and Beth to Rick Prime is the saddest in my opinion
“Go son, go! Go son, go! Go son, go!”
Snuffles was never returned to his original dimension after the portal fluid reset. Continuity break!!!
the alternate realities episode really hits deep in my opinion
You gotta hear the song "Live forever" from season seven. Without a video the song is much sadder!

The cops deceased son wasn't sad. That was just pure dark and messed up
Right? Funny as hell to me because of how messed up it is.
Chachi's death was the worst😭
He didn't pass out "at the last moment"...THE RICK doesnt die....
the one where they crash land where morty calls jessica and... you know the beginning of the eppisode with the guy from the ocean... mr nimbus
when morty tells summer about how him and rick killed themselves from their original timeline and that every morning himself and rick from another timeline went to the one their in now and that he eats breakfast like 10 or 20 feet away from his dead corpse
This show has it deep moments.
The saddest Rick and Morty was all of season six. It sucked so much, it almost brought tears to my eyes.
Rick's "Crybaby Backstory" should have been atleast top ten. it shows rick wasting his life trying to find prime rick
"He told me to tell you "he's sorry that you didn't have any bad memories of him." If you love him, you should leave"
I'm not crying, you are :(
17:20 hello
