    I’ve loved the episode with DK. The part of the relatives reminded me of how we quickly dismiss mental health back home or give it a whole other meaning all together. Well done ladies!

      Yes.. i think that's why we struggle even more with it.. we don't even have words for some things...i remember feeling anxiety on and off from childhood but only learnt the word in adulthood for example

    This the most profound conversation overdue especially with first borns. We actually are strong but new and enjoy being cared for. We are draining

    It's so important that we have more of these conversations so we can destigmstise mental health issues in our community. Even just the labels that we use help. Bless you DK for sharing your story.

    Thank you, Dk, for sharing your story-I'm touched, and I’m sure it’s touched someone else out there too. And thank you, Dr. Siccy, for the insightful episode. You’re an exceptional listener, and I look forward to more candid conversations like this. Bless you both.

    Dr Cissy, why does pregnancy and child birth magnify mental health problems

    • @drcissyatwine
      @drcissyatwine  หลายเดือนก่อน

      our mental health is directly impacted by our hormones.. its like how the mood can change at different times of the menstrual cycle.. in pregnancy and after child birth the hormone changes are even more.. some of them increase by upto 10 times!
