More Sylosis! They are so extremely underrated, its not even logical.
I agree 100%. These guys are top notch. They should have Slayer or Pantera status. I haven't heard any of today's bands that touches these guys. Their riffs and solos are through the roof. They still have a lot of Sylosis to react to. Awakening, Empryeal, Cycle Of Suffering and Calcified. Arms Like A Noose. No matter what you can't go wrong.

@@slayer47 Hopefully they'll get the recognition they deserve. Although I've seen some old bands that remained under the radar like Savatage, Riot and many others that should've been bigger in their time.
@@thomasbrown2465 I honestly want Architects to disband so Josh could pour all his effort into Sylosis. Sylosis is 100x better than Architects. Its actually a shame.
Josh is one of the best metal musicians ever. His Combo of guitar skills/vocals/songwriting is one of the best ever in metal. Such a good band, still makes me sad they’re not big, they deserve better. Kinda bums me out seeing Josh have to do architects to make a good living because his skill is kind of wasted in that band.
this band is everything, the emotions they create are unbelievable, by far my fave band. last remaining light is a dope track, you should check it out. where the sky ends is something else you also might not expect from them as a band
Really glad this song is getting a reaction. I would like to see you react to Eclipsed, From the Edge of the Earth, Paradox or Abandon. I think those would be right up your alley. Keep spreading the good word

Josh (guitarist and vocalist of Sylosis) has said some of the lyrics to Quiescent that you find on Google are incorrect, particularly the last bit of the song. The lyrics aren't even on the album's little booklet or vinyl print. He's said he'll release the correct lyrics at some stage but hasn't said anything else about

If you thought this song was a journey id highly recommend you listen to “Abandon” by Sylosis off their COS album.
Wow in late to this. My favorit Sylosis song. They do heavy so good and they do soft ballads so good. Perfect band. I wish Josh left architects and poured his 100% focus into Sylosis because they are 100x better than architects.
There are some nice subtleties that come through in this song like the ambient guitars that just cut through at 7:55
The overarching theme of this album pertains to being ignorant of what’s going on around you and embracing a false reality that makes you comfortable. Quiescent is in reference to being in a state of inactivity, as it relates to reality. Rather than awaken to the truth, you’ve chosen to remain asleep, in a perpetually quiescent state, wherein you remain forever blind to the real world, not willing to accept reality because it’s too painful.

I think you would love the song "A dying vine" by Sylosis, really fast and hard and also really melodic and mellow. Its probably about the same person. Same album

How many songs does this band sing? I've heard 6 other songs and it's all screams. Def like the cleans way more.
Pretty much none lol, abandon is another great one that has cleans in it, the large large majority of their vocals are harsh tho.
Monolith hidden track only have clean until the end, even then the harsh vocal are "inaudible". But they do have many tracks that incorporate both types of vocal!

Not one of their best songs Imo but still quality like all their shit, one of the best bands in the world. Anyone good stuff, more Sylosis is always a great thing, very underrated band.

If you like heavy thrash/death metal stuff highly recommend, one of the best metal bands of all time. Their album edge of the earth is one of the best metal albums ever. Definitely give that a listen, If you like it listen to the rest of their stuff it’s all really good. The singer/lead guitarist/songwriter is as good a metal musician as there is.
@@puppetmaster8551 Facts. For me its Dormant Heart though. Dormant Heart is the greatest metal album of all time. I want Architects to disband so Josh can pour all his time into Sylosis. I haaaate new Architects.
@@8JFJK8 it just sucks as a Sylosis fan but Josh’s god tier skills are wasted in architects, shame he has to do architects to make a good living but I can’t blame him, wish Sylosis was more popular so he primarily could do that and maximize his skills. Architects are no where near the band Sylosis is. Anyway Josh is a god.
