- What is the Mae Hong Son loop?
The Mae Hong Son Loop is a scenic road route located in the Mae Hong Son Province of northern Thailand. The route covers approximately 600 km, winding through mountainous terrain and passing through several hill tribe villages and other scenic attractions. It is a popular tourist destination for motorcycle and car tours.

Stopping in Ja Bo didn't occur to me . . . but then, we normally stay with our nephews in MHS (or at home in Pai).
I do enjoy stopping there for noodles, though. Maybe next time :)
One of our regular halts is at the Phang Mapha viewpoint, as we've become quite friendly with the Lahu ladies there.
In 2007 one of them had her young son sitting on the stall beside her, so I took a couple of photos, then on the next visit gave her a couple of A4 prints, and took a few more shots.
This became a regular occurrence, with the others joining in and getting involved in group shots.
It's an excellent way to 'break the ice' somewhere you are going to be visiting frequently.

We made it in 5 days. This is up to you how many attractions you want see.

Chiang Mai Bicycle & Motorbike Rental is one of the best in service. Ask Google for details. I have my own big Bike but I know about the store. Calculate 40 - 70 US$ per week
