Volcano Choir 'Repave' out September 3, 2013 on Jagjaguwar
Justin Vernon is an undisputed musical genius. Fit along with such names as Brian Willson. An absolute living legend.
Nice B Wilson drop. Great comp
Mr. Vernon, You have change my whole perspective of music on how I listen and take it in. Ever since Bon Iver you are all I have listen to, My grade 11 art class you're one thing that inspired me. I drew a picture of you and I did my final project using one of your songs "Holocene." Its on my youtube channel if you wish to see. Thank you for changing my life completely.
Repave is still one of my favorite albums ever. One of the few records I love listening to in full - backwards, forwards, on repeat
"Byegone" is some of those tracks I could listen forever and forever I would find something new in it
Still here. Watching again and again. Year after year ❤️
Justin Vernon as an artist is such an inspiration...this album represents the finishing of a circle.
First, you have something you think is magical (Deyarmond Edison), then it breaks (For Emma, Forever Ago/Blood Bank), then you have a re-discovery period (Bon Iver), and then, at some point, you have to move on, re-create, and perfect (Repave).
I'm so happy to hear that early version of the ending of Almanac. Those last three minutes of that song are honestly powerful as all shit.
omg this album is going to be the best things my ears have heard in a loooooong time.
Volcano Choir 'Repave'
Brad Murphy 'Oak Heart'
City and Colour 'Thirst'
alt-folk at its best !!!! x
Who is still here in 2020? 😍😍😍
This album is such a masterpiece. One of Vernon's best imo
Me!
...repave is just it!
Search for "Collections of Colonies of Bees" and the word "customer". You're welcome.
As a promotional video for an album, I would say this sets the bar pretty high. Great work!
Deadly gig in Dublin lads. Come back soon!
love this, also love Ben Howard and Brad Murphy
Coachella 2014:
Headliners: Volcano Choir
Support: Brad Murphy + Dallas Green
too good to be true??
Volcano Choir + Brad Murphy + Dallas Green = awesome xxxx
what band did Justin say changed the way he listened to music?
Collections of Colonies of Bees
Wish I was old enough to experience this
Would love to be able to record something at April Base sometime. I know that you’re pretty busy with Touring and other stuff. Just thinking that maybe some things in 2023 sounds great!
yo i just want justin vernon to read audibles now.
Wait, where did he go?
This album got me through one of my first really tough breakups, in 2014. Justin has made the soundtrack to my life.
my new favourite band, Justin Vernon is a gift from god!
“It speaks to the fact that we’ve been doing this for so long.
And seeing us grow as a band, and changing our process, spending more time here together at one spot even though we all work on our own has totally informed us.
This place is kind of a metaphor on its own. Just like what is possible, how to get better, how to write better songs, how to extended. Repave”
Amazing quote by the amazing Justin Vernon
Nice keep it up
The only thing in the world that rivals Justin's singing voice is Justin's speaking voice.
Justin vernon is a freaking genius
he gets excited for new projects all the time. there was bon iver, then he got obsessed with gayngs, now its volcano choir. he'll come back to bon iver eventually. but he just simply LIKES making music, different types of it.
Justin Vernon is a literal inspiration to me. He has changed the way I hear sound and I am now attending audio engineering school to learn how I can even come close to these sounds.. Thank you, thank you.
Volcano Choir 'Unmap'
Brad Murphy 'Songsmith'
City and Colour 'Little Hell'
love these albums xxx any more??
What Band is he saying that made the album Customers? I can't really make out his words.
Justin, you practically promise this to be a spiritual journey, so I can't wait for September already... It better be goodddd... I'm counting on it!*******

Looks like a good crew of people to spend your life with. Throw me in the mix...WILDCARD, bitches!
4:56 Like sitting around a fire, but doing something productive and creating something special with your best buds. Seems like the perfect moment to me.
such an amazing portrait of writing music and being in a band and creating something with your friends.... i am lucky to be doing this myself
Oh god this is good. I loved Unmap. It had a great experimental sound to it, but I think this is just going to take it to the next level.
i heard Brad Murphy never plays live as he suffers from depression like Nick Drake?
So inspirational guys!! Love what your doing.
great short doc on the making of this. perfectly captured, some stunning images, makes me even more excited about the upcoming record....
Collections of Colonies of Bees, which is basically Volcano Choir minus Justin.
Whats the symbol on Justin's hoodie? That he also has a tattoo of on his inner upper arm.
This record is a sonically rich spiritual blessing.
love it how justin gets most of the interview time! :-P lol its because he is the most thoughtful and musically profound! :p

Scott Mays Thank you, I was wondering from which Bon Iver album it was, I was so surprised tha I hadn´t heard of this album from Bon Iver. But now I know it is not an Bon Iver album, Just a Justin Vernon sideproject.
its a very good albumn give it a try if you liek Bon Iver you will probably like repave
how did you like bon ivers new album? Unfortunately not as good as their first two but far from bad.
Simon0
I have heard two new songs. And I am really pleased with them. One of the best thing that is comming out today... Is the whole album already out!? You got to excuse me, I am just to preoccupied finishing my own single. Am not really following other peoples music these days.
Collections of Colonies of Bees
Thanks! Hard to understand him.
anyone else just a little annoyed that justin seems more excited by volcano choir than bon iver?
Why do music journalists insist on asking the history of the band? Jesus ... what's more uninteresting? Yawn yawn yawn.
Anyone know what reference monitor's he's using? Not the Barefoot's, but the other ones. They look like Adams, but I'm not sure. You can catch a good glimpse of them at 1:30 in this video
Adam A7X (the older model)
my life dream is to have a home recording studio with that good of a setup
